Mental health issues are increasingly being discussed openly, and more and more people understand what they want and are ready to contact a psychotherapist. Experts often believe that in-person consultation is better than online communication with a psychologist, but not everyone can afford it - on the other hand, an online appeal can be a step towards finally addressing the problem seriously. The new project Sreda should help make this first step: on the website you can ask an exciting question or find a psychotherapist you like and sign up for a consultation in real life.
On the Sreda website, you can ask a question through a special form, or you can see what other users are asking. The authors of the project say that only verified experts can answer questions, but emphasize that the answer is not a full consultation. In crisis situations or if there are thoughts of suicide, they are advised to contact the psychological hotlines, bypassing the site.
