Strategist Ira Lobanovskaya about favorite outfits
FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE"we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week, our heroine is a researcher, a grocery and communication strategist, the author of “My friend, yes you are a transformer,” Ira Lobanovskaya.
I have been living in Moscow for almost seven years, so most of my things are black; I never thought about it until I was in California. Flew away for a week, taking a small bag, and stayed for six months. I had to buy clothes again, and for some reason I began to choose color: it turns out that if the sun is shining, people are smiling, stupid one-story architecture is around, and even these bushes that are tending upward (read palm trees), then I don’t want to defend myself. So things have become for me something more than just a convenient base. I began to move a lot, I was little in Moscow, I did not rent an apartment - I had nowhere to put souvenir stuff. And since I still wanted to take away something remarkable from Mexico, Brazil and Europe, I began to buy what I could carry on myself.
In Moscow, for basic and / or predictable things, I go to Monki and Mango. Stably returning to Strogo Vintage: even if I leave with nothing over and over again, I know that one day they will bring something cool. I buy everything else from time to time, depending on the country. You can understand a lot about the local mentality in the assortment of the mass market. In Berlin, even in Zara there will be a huge selection of black things, but in Mexico in H & M there are only colorful dressing gowns in the floor. Of course, I did not buy anything, but I measured everything to return to 2006.
In order that the base is more difficult, I go to the markets, to the tailors, to the second, in most cases not in Moscow. The thing must be about the place and with character. Sometimes I collect the recommendations of the shops and markets of the new city in advance, but more often I just wander the streets to find something of my own.
Cap from the souvenir market, Alisa Kuzembaeva fur coat
Karakul hat, which I recognize, bought on the souvenir market on Khreshchatyk in Kiev. She lay on the shelf for about three years, and then I tore off a star and left it in the colonel - I haven’t taken it off since. Recently I had lunch with my girlfriend in "Catering" and found a brooch on the floor - now I have it on my hat. If you are the owner and found it out, please write to me.
I bought a fur coat online. This is designer Alisa Kuzembaeva, her things are in Tsvetnoy - although I didn’t get there. I flew to Moscow from Brazil, from plus thirty to minus twenty, with me there was only a coat and there was no time. So I immediately went to work and ordered a fur coat delivered to the office.
Vintage Kimono
Found in a vintage store Made in Berlin. Kimono there was about twenty, and I got tired, having measured them all. It was the last, and I thought that there was nothing special in it - until I turned my back.
Dressing gown Sleeper, Monki jeans, T-shirt from a Simachev party, New Balance sneakers, Mango clutch
Only Monki make jeans high enough, long, but small in size - if they suddenly stop producing this model, I can not wear jeans anymore. Everything else is either short or great to me. T-shirt from the seven-year anniversary of the Simachev bar - it has already been torn along and across, especially behind. But when everything in your life is constantly changing, you are sure to drag some rag around the world to fall asleep in the same thing.
Uniqlo sweatshirt, Yucatan skirt, Future Is Nown socks, boots of unknown origin
Skirt - handmade by a dressmaker from the Yucatan Peninsula, she found it by accident. From the street a sewing machine and mountains of things were visible through the open door, I went in, measured a bunch of national clothes and chose this skirt. I wear it with sweatshirts and sneakers or boots. Bracelet bought on the pier in the Mexican city of Celestun, while waiting for the boat to sail to the bay where the flamingos live.
Kenzo x H & M Pajamas, New Balance Sneakers
When I was in San Francisco, I needed to buy a jacket, and I went to H & M. I went to the store and immediately saw a pop-up department and a bunch of colorful things, two bored sellers and an empty-leaving customer. So the city that goes to yoga sweatpants, met the H & M and Kenzo collaboration - and I met my pajamas from this collection.
Top from Yucatan, pants of unknown origin, Zara boots, bracelet - a gift from mom
Top - handmade dressmaker from the Yucatan Peninsula. And the pants do not remember where they are from - there is no tag on them.
Chinese silk pajamas, boots Zara
I already left the “Lambada-market” when I was met and returned by Anya Sharunova, saying that she had something special for me. Something turned out to be silk pajamas from China. That's right, Anya, and I go now.
DKNY suit, Monki t-shirt, decoration of the peoples of the North
I subscribe to many online stores and designers to bring up the taste. Basically, I don’t buy clothes online: standard pieces don’t fit on my figure and I need to touch everything. I ordered several times, but only once successfully - the DKNY suit from a vintage store in Los Angeles.
Jealousy raincoat, dress of unknown origin, socks Walk of Shame
I bought a dress for 899 rubles in a nameless store located on the outer perimeter of Trekhgorka. Jealousy raincoat is the brand of my girlfriend from Odessa Tanya Muinho. She is a photographer and director, so the things she does look amazing in the first place. And already in the second: "Tanya, and loops for the belt could not sew?"
Sleeper suit, second-hand shirt
Firstly, the Sleeper is impeccably beautiful, and secondly, they are sewn according to my standards. Shirt bought for five dollars in Brooklyn.
Vintage dress and chain
In order for a thing to come to my wardrobe, I must feel naturally in it. Immediately see clearly how, where and with what I wear it. I love and buy things in second-hand and flea markets. In Moscow - in Strogo Vintage and Salon Bonaparte (from there this dress), in Berlin - Made in Berlin (from there - chain), in Tel Aviv - at the flea market in Jaffa. These are the names that I remember - in fact, there are many more such places, these are markets and shops “along the way”, “around the corner” and “I have lost my way successfully.”
Earrings from Mexico
Mexico is a sacred place for me. I spent there three very important months for me, from which everything started. Earrings-icons with Maria Guadalupe - the most expensive thing to me, bought them in a shop in Merida. Ibid bought the second, gold. Wearing them is not easy, they cling to clothes, so you have to stretch your neck.
Necklace from mexico
Beaded necklace bought in Tulum on the beach from a tradeswoman. I wear a black t-shirt. In general, the base "T-shirt-jeans" is so good that you can hang on top and put on any oddity.
Cap from Mexico
Jewelry from Khanty-Mansiysk
This was brought to me by a friend from the North. Pendant wear with basic things. And the fact that below, I put in my jacket pocket. Sticks out like a handkerchief should do.
H & M earrings
I was at H & M Home and found this set of earrings on a shelf with candles. Thanks to the person who invented them - I love the shape of a circle.
Ring from los angeles
I never take off the ring - it’s a thing you don’t think about, whether to wear it or not. Bought on the pop-up market in Los Angeles. The pattern - whether lightning, or zigzag - is similar to my painting. I just I.L initials
