About beauty and cosmetics
All spun on the day of admission to graduate school. I had "imperfect" skin, slurred mood and complete dissatisfaction with appearance. Then I first bought cosmetics en masse and stepped into a new life. I did not go out of interest, but from a "problem." There was a specific goal - to improve the condition of the skin, raise self-esteem and move on. I am one of those people who, at the slightest scratch, change the screen on the phone, and if it seems to me that something goes wrong, I urgently change everything.
Following came the interest in the active ingredients. As you know, the skin did not get better the next day or six months later. I began to dig the Internet to figure out how everything works and what else I can do. In parallel, I noted which products are suitable for me and which are not, paid attention to the packaging design and shaped the taste. It was about 2015.
Since then, I have put my skin in order, but my love for cosmetics and personal care has remained. Now it is more a story about ritual, a way to relax. I like the fact that you can take off the makeup in the evening and end the day or, conversely, tune in to a new one, getting ready in the morning. In this ritual, I find peace with myself, reflection in the mirror and what surrounds me.
At some point, I realized that interest in cosmetics will not pass, and I wanted to implement it in work. Not everything was smooth, and now we can say that I got into beauty almost by accident. By the time I moved, I already had a job that was as distant as possible from the beauty industry, but life is like this: in the end, I got to where I wanted. I really like what I do now. I get maximum pleasure and am ready to disappear in the office for twelve hours a day.
About care
In skin care, I adhere to a simple understandable system: delicate cleansing, exfoliation and high-quality moisturizing. I have a combination dehydrated skin, and it took me a while to understand how it works. Now I wash my face with non-foaming products without soap, I do it in two stages: first, micellar water or balm to wash off cosmetics, and then soft gel to cleanse the skin.
Acids - perhaps my favorite category in the care, they give a visible result. I choose small concentrations: frequent use is my ideal format, so the skin remains stably good, but there are no side effects. The most favorite acid is salicylic: I use it several times a week right after shaving to prevent inflammation and ingrown hair. In the breaks I use AHA-acids and minimal retinol.
I also moisturize the skin in two stages: first serum, then cream. In the summer I choose gel textures, in winter - more dense and nutritious. They are well protected from the cold, and BB-cream or tonal fluid is perfectly placed on them. In the usual cream for the skin around the eyes I do not see the point, so I apply face cream up to the eyelash growth line. I rarely use masks and more out of interest and pleasure than of necessity. I believe that proper daily care covers all the needs of the skin and masks are simply not needed. Now I have two in my arsenal: enzyme and moisturizing. I connect them on weekends, when there is free time and you can play around with the care.
About make-up
Everything is simple here - I do what I want and do not look around. If I am comfortable with BB cream and concealer, I apply them and live my life. In makeup, the most important thing for me is naturalness, that is, so that the skin, its texture and general condition can be seen. I have strong bruises under my eyes, and without a concealer, I immediately look tired and somehow painful, so a couple of drops every morning is my taste. Sometimes I can tinker with less mandatory products, such as skin shine cream. I dress discreetly, so I realize myself through cosmetics and perfume.
In general, I do not pay attention to the contrived gender division. In stores I go to all the shelves, I don’t look at symbols like "male" and "female." I look at what's interesting to me. Is that sometimes the consultant can bring me back to reality, but this happens less and less. Marketing games do not turn me on, unlike a quality product or the pleasure of buying.
