What to wear in the fall: Coats, dresses, shoes and other relevant things from tweed
Tweed is back in fashion this season, which can no longer be called a conservative material: designers cut from the shoulder and sew everything from it, from leather jackets to dresses in which you can safely go down the aisle. We chose the best options for different styles and cost, which will fit into the wardrobe for ages. And this fall, we recommend combining them with warm colored tights, vinyl things, translucent tops and patent leather shoes.
Footwear
Tweed shoes seem not very practical for Russian conditions, but, on the other hand, autumn is getting warmer every year, and snow falls all later. So there will be enough dry days in a year to pay back the cost of any universal pair, even if it is Manolo. This season, tweed is doing everything, including one of the most convenient models in the world - slipona, which in a couple of years finally moved from skateboard wardrobe to everyday urban wear. The only thing is that tweed shoes and shoes will have to be dry-cleaned at least once a season, but it is quite possible to remove minor dirt on your own (for example, with a mild shampoo or carpet cleaner).

Trousers
Warm wide-legged gray-tweed trousers are a classic that refers to the style of the 20s and literally dictates to defiantly put your hands in your pockets while walking. If you don’t want to cosplay age-old Ivy League students, the main thing is not to complement the image with double-breasted jackets and hats (they are also on our list) - instead you can choose either a silk blouse or a turtleneck and a matching coat in color. Color and cropped tweed pants in the style of the 70s will look even more interesting. How to wear them, you can peep at the stylists Farfetch: for example, with ankle boots with heels and a short leather jacket.

Skirt
This autumn, in the wake of the return of the 90s, designers offer us to change into maxi skirts, and with a number of efforts they can also be found in tweedy. Still, this material is too heavy for such a length, and if you are not ready to feel an outdated constraint in your movements when walking, then it is better to turn to the proven classics. Tweed skirts midi and mini trapezoidal shape, as well as the inevitable "pencils" will come to the rescue. The first look frivolous and evoke thoughts about the 60s, the second are indispensable in the autumn-winter office wardrobe.

The dress
A tweed dress mentally even rhymes with Twiggy - however, in 2015 it does not necessarily have to be micro-lengths and an A-silhouette. The density of the fabric, of course, dictates a certain graphic, but some designers succeed in dramatic draperies - such as Simone Rocha (not surprisingly, the Briton, like Vivienne Westwood, beautifully handles this fabric). If you prefer simpler forms, then there is plenty to choose from - all the same everyday tweed trapeziums and cases look great. Keep in mind that tweed dresses made of natural yarn cannot cost modestly, so even Topshop will have to look for such a dress in the more expensive Unique line.

Jacket
Not one thing is associated with tweed as much as a classic Chanel jacket, with which clients of the house were offered to wear tweed everything - from a pencil skirt to a cap. The brand still exploits its tweed DNA uncontrollably, using the material even in the decoration of the sneakers (we leave no comments), so the tweed total onion will inevitably evoke certain associations. Therefore, it is better to combine such a jacket, especially the classic shortened style, with objects from other materials - for example, skirts made of vinyl, trousers-pipes or even sports things.

Top
A tweed top can be an excellent alternative to a jacket if you want to avoid conservative associations as much as possible. In the assortment of many brands, you can find straight-cut tops in full or partly tweed - both covering the waist, which are perfectly combined with classic monoton trousers and boyfriend jeans, and shorter ones. They are conveniently stylized in our latitudes as a waistcoat, which will please moms and grandmothers, who are always worried about the condition of our loins (and for good reason). However, there are also compound bustiers and "peplumes" - in search of suitable options or when ordering in the studio, you can be inspired by absolutely non-budget models of Proenza Schouler, Derek Lam or Marni.

Jacket
Tweed is designed for outerwear, and it would be unwise to neglect it in that capacity. We still get to the classic (and not so) tweed coats, but for now here’s a more original solution. Nobody said that the autumn jacket must be exclusively leather or high-tech, windproof and waterproof. Moreover, even models that we used to perceive only in the skin are sewed from tweed - first of all the leather jackets. They can be found for half-crazy money, like in Rick Owens or Lanvin, and for quite moderate ones in democratic brands. For those who still love things more fundamentally, there is a combination of tweed with the skin - some will suit even those who really ride a motorcycle, and not just adorn it. Anyway, this jacket will last more than one season, so it makes sense to invest in it.

Coat
If for some reason you don’t have a coat in your wardrobe - it's time to order it, and preferably with urgent delivery: the vagaries of the Russian weather are inscrutable, like God’s ways, and Indian summer can be replaced by cooling at any moment. But there is also good news: it is precisely for our weather conditions that one of the most popular styles of coats of recent years is ideal - the so-called cocoon. Firstly, it is really possible to wrap up in it comfortably, and secondly, the volumetric silhouette allows you to pry not only the woolen vest fashionable this season, but also the sweater is quite a coarse-knit one. Reference coat-cocoons do, of course, Carven, but almost the same silhouette can be searched and found in the mass market. And the noble coat Toast of the muted blue color will warm not only with a hundred percent wool, but also with the thought that this yarn is from Yorkshire - and English grandmothers who probably have been wearing similar ones for decades.

A bag
What to do if you do not want a coat, dress, skirt and everything else from tweed? You can, in principle, not to buy anything (and who knows, maybe this is the most reasonable move in our troubled times), but you can decide that another bag will never hurt. Moreover, in this category, the price range is grandiose: if you do not need a sign expensive thing that you pass on to your grandchildren, it is quite possible to do with a cheap clutch or a micro bag on a long strap. It is in this category that synthetic tweed is one hundred percent justified: it is humane, while it looks an order of magnitude better than leatherette and will not wipe on the folds, like natural wool.

Hat
In tweed this fall, you can dress up from head to toe, and this is no joke: hats are no exception. It is not necessary to turn into Sherlock with his funny hat - you can choose a classic hat with an unusual addition in the form of a tweed ribbon, you can even have an autumn visor (trendy, but, we admit, useless). And if you have enough self-irony, we advise you to take a closer look at the “newspaper cap” retro model, which Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears loved so much.
