New black: White arrows to replace the classics
To be honest, trend makers in modern make-up not so much - partly because it is not customary to determine the authorship of the methods and attach importance to it in wide circles. All the more interesting that with the number one make-up artist Pat McGrath, everything happens exactly the opposite. We tell how, after the glitter on the lips, the master invented the snow-white arrows - now they are invited to try everything.
How it started
Today, we are increasingly urged to rethink the traditional functions of makeup and experiment: metallic and peach come in to replace red and pink, mascara becomes more interesting when it does not imitate fluffy eyelashes, but paints them with the colors of the rainbow, and eyebrows turn out to be the best field for new samples if their discolor. But sometimes it all comes down to practical contradictions: not everyone has an endless set of brushes, the necessary skills, patience and in the end, the time to create watercolor paintings on the face and uneasy graphic accents. So in this sense, the best variant of the invention of a bicycle is to try to create a classic, accessible and understandable make-up in modern interpretation. Pat McGrath does it very well: this time, she shared with the world the idea of drawing classic arrows in the most unusual color for them. At the fashion show, Valentino models went to the podium with neat and concise, but very noticeable white arrows.
Today, many predict this idea a great future coming in the fall. The fact that the arrows may not be the same as everyone else, we have already told more than once, but it was the white pencil used in this make-up that was a breakthrough. On the one hand, this is a pleasant irony over the immortal "cat eyes", which the makeup artist basically likes to interpret in her own way; on the other hand, it seems that this is quite a wearable make-up, because white is not less universal color than black.
Why do we need it
If experiments with color are closer to you with experiments with form, sometimes requiring tangible creative torment, then it’s definitely worth trying out the white arrows. White pencil is more often used as a base for saturated colors, for liner mucous or feathering - but this does not mean that all methods of its use have already been found. Clear, eye-shaped arrows drawn by this essentially ancillary product look very interesting at first glance: the ability of white to plow open and refresh his gaze in such a reception is not lost anywhere.
How to do it
Pat McGrath acted with the help (what would you think) of her favorite remedy - a snow-white pigment that allowed her to work flexibly with the intensity of color and application. But you can use a more “hand-made” and easy-to-use product: thank God, the offers on the cosmetic market appeared much earlier than the potential new fashion.
White eyeliner Vivid Brights can be found, of course, in the NYX, universal white pencils also have in their range. A pencil that is hard enough can be found in many brands that bet on a sea of color and professional use - for example, the pretty Wet'n'Wild. Arrows can be drawn, in principle, with shadows, liquid lipstick and anything else: the main thing is that your pencil does not turn out to be calyear, too soft and plastic to create clear lines with it. However, you can try - for many, such a candidate is lying idle.
Put a base on the eyelids, sharpen a pencil sharply enough and try to draw lines, not allowing the presence of excess funds for centuries, otherwise everything will flow even before you have time to blink. The result can be fixed with shadows, matte or shining according to your desire.
