The creator of the salon of the vintage Natalina Bonaparte about her favorite clothes

FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is the ideologist and creator of Salon Bonaparte and designer of the EGO MUST DIE brand Natalina Bonaparte.

Mom was my first fashion icon. All childhood in the mornings, while the dressing room was open, I aspirated velvet dresses and tweed jackets, and then went all day around the apartment in my mother's shoes with heels, glasses. Mom deliberately instilled in me a love for vintage things - she did not recognize clothes that met the trends. It all started with a huge chest with vintage dresses and guipure gloves, which we got from our great-grandmother-seamstress. We also bought clothes in second-hand - strange, funny and elegant. Mom was not afraid of anything. When she took me away from the dance, the girls from my group smiled, seeing the girl in the shortened jumpsuit, with striped socks and stupid lace-up shoes — and I was proud of her. Then I also began to experiment: in high school, I repainted my grandmother's shoes, sewed a fringe from a blanket to my pants, reworked skirts into dresses, and sculpted stones on sneakers.

There is not a single criterion by which I choose my clothes. I have a very controversial wardrobe, and my favorite models are random finds on "flea" or a legacy from my mother and grandmother. I really buy things from Salon Bonaparte. If there is something modern in my wardrobe, then these are sneakers and t-shirts. I lost the skill of shopping, I don’t like modern clothes - I don’t feel it. If the thing is younger than me, it does not attract me, so I only dress in vintage shops of colleagues in the shop or at flea markets. I have a strict rule: never try on what came from the States for the store. However, if the thing does not acquire a master within a month and looks at me with love, we begin to live together.

Among the vintage brands I have pets: Laura Ashley, Dior, Elsa Schiaparelli and Oscar de la Renta. I buy them at auctions along with clothes for the store, this is the same as online shopping. I used to buy more, but every year the excitement goes out. Once I said that I would not leave the house without a vintage object on myself, even the most inconspicuous - brooches or clips - now I simply have almost nothing except vintage items. Sometimes I really like what young designers are doing, like Arthur Lomakin - I have three Forget Me Not bags.

My work was completely defined by my style: the idea of the salon was born out of a great love of clothes as an object of art. Over time, I had a collection of vintage, which I could not share - and so the first Salon Bonaparte opened. Now we fully complement each other.

Vintage dress and handbag clutch, Salvatore Ferragamo loafers, earrings from the London flea market

I bought this Indian dress in Moscow, in the Cream vintage shop - there were three identical models hanging there, and I thought that there was no need to hurry. A week later, they were two less, so after five minutes I hurriedly carried this dress home. It has never been published. When I bought it, I told my friend that I wanted to get married in it - maybe it will happen.

Bag-coupling is my great love and pride. People often wonder when I pull the phone, glasses, notebook and pens out of the fur pads. In the absence of warm gloves, I use it in the winter as a clutch. I wear it even with puffy jackets and rubber boots.

Vintage rain coat, Lee jeans, Uniqlo t-shirt, second-hand shawl, Salvatore Ferragamo loafers

I bought a raincoat five years ago and dreamed of wearing it only with underwear - in fact, it turned out to be more unpleasant than beautiful. Jeans bought in her store for a generous sale: accidentally tried on and went away. Find your kleshi - great luck. A scarf made of synthetics and an unknown brand is the most favorite, despite the fact that I have two boxes.

Vintage fur coat, Burberry shirt, Levi's jeans, antique shop string bag, Salvatore Ferragamo loafers

Of course, buying this fur coat, I dreamed at least to be a little like Margot from The Tenenbaum Family, but unfortunately, there is no such weather in Moscow to go out in sandals, silk dress and fur coat. Avoski - my love. I do not like big bags, so when I need to take a couple of books or apples, I choose a shopping bag. This one is the youngest in the collection. I bought it in my favorite antique shop in Taganrog, when I was visiting my parents.

Dino'z jacket, RaiseSomeStore store skirt, Anna Calvi shoes, Etro shawl

I was six years old when my mother brought home a ridiculous jacket and spent a few weeks restoring it. I still can not imagine how my mother could part with her, but now my thing. The shoes were presented by twin friends for their birthday. I wear such shoes extremely rarely - too high. She bought a transparent skirt from Bella's friend and colleague: most likely, it was once a petticoat, but that does not bother me.

Jacket from a second-hand, vintage trousers, earrings from GUM

Jacket - the main purchase of this winter. It was originally part of a giant-sized starfish costume. I had to buy and pants - very funny. I bought earrings at the age of eighteen, when I first came to Moscow without my parents. For a long time I kept them in a box with fancy accessories for special occasions, and last year I wear them every other day with everything in a row. Flared, flared pants are a favorite party item.

Dior Costume, Stallion Cossacks, Uterqüe Earrings

All three items are my favorites. The costume was with me, or rather on me, on the most significant days. If I think for a long time what to wear, then I choose him: not from hopelessness, but because he is always and everywhere just right. The Cossacks did not shoot all autumn, all winter, and spring, too, they can not escape. Earrings - a gift of the best friend for the New Year. They were touched by all friends and even passers-by.

Vintage dress, Salvatore Ferragamo loafers

The things of the beginning of the last century are my love. I rarely wear them, but every day I admire them and am proud. Probably, with this pride and began my work in the world of vintage clothing. The dress was worn only once at the family brunch. I like patch collars - they transform any thing. If the mood changes during the day, I can just unfasten it; I do not understand why everyone forgot about them.

Florence shirt

This is the most adult thing in my collection - the XIX century. Unfortunately, someone restored it before she became mine. Inside the buttons are dried flowers. In it, I like everything, but the fact that it is old - especially. I have nothing against the time stamps, the vintage thing should talk about what was happening to it. It seems attractive to me.

Dress of the early twentieth century, collar cutters EGO MUST DIE

More than vintage clothes, I love only medieval clothes - perhaps because of its inaccessibility. Therefore, everything that I do for EGO MUST DIE is an echo of the medieval costume, only actualized. Collars - the first collection of the brand. I wear them with suits, jeans and leather jackets.

Burberry trench coat, Gucci pumps, Levi's jeans, Uniqlo t-shirt, Fila cap

I can not imagine the offseason without this trench. Gucci boats are worn too often for shoes with heels, but they are comfortable and always relevant. If I got a job, I would come for an interview in them, and if I took a job, they would bribe me. She found a cap at a flea market as a gift to a friend, she did not fit him, but I did very well. T-shirt - a gift. I have no idea what should happen if I go to the mall, so I get basic clothes like t-shirts, shirts and sweatshirts from friends.

Vintage glasses

I bought a couple in brown frame a few years ago in an antique shop from Tamara Bobrikova. In the marble - this winter. Exactly the same glasses were and have my mom - appeared when I was little. Since then, I dreamed about them, and when I found it, I immediately called my mother for joy.

Bag from Tbilisi

I bought a stone purse on the Dry Bridge in Tbilisi, when I last visited Fashion Week.

Vintage wallet

I use the old wallet for tobacco. His aunt gave it to me, she lives in London and also loves flea markets.

Collars cutters EGO MUST DIE

EGO MUST DIE collar cutters can be worn with almost everything - they almost never surprise anyone. But, of course, it is strange to go down in it in the subway. This is an unpretentious thing with a complaint: it is made of mesh, so it looks quite modern.

Helmets EGO MUST DIE

EGO MUST DIE helmets are an indispensable thing, especially at a temperature like now. They do not let in the cold and do not release heat, but also decorate winter outfits.

EGO MUST DIE gloves

Gloves with snails - the new model EGO MUST DIE. We have not yet opened sales, but after Tinder Ball, where they were first shown, there was a queue behind them.
