Ballet, yoga, crossfit: Girls about your favorite YouTube workouts

We talked a lot about how to play sports on your own, including without leaving the apartment. Home workouts are an indispensable thing: they are diverse and free, they are held exclusively according to the schedule convenient for you, and you can change the instructors every day. We asked friends of girls who regularly train on video tutorials on YouTube about their favorite workouts and lifehacks that help them not to give up sports.

One day, a neighbor came to me from below asking why I jumped over their heads at eight in the evening - at that moment I was training with the Nike Traning Club app. I am a longtime fan of home workouts: they are easier to plan, you don’t need to go anywhere specifically, they take much less time than going to the gym, plus not everyone likes to sweat and blush publicly. Of course, they require a different level of self-control and organization from you: after coming home, they pull on the sofa with the TV series, but there are several ways to outsmart yourself, and one of them is to work hard and find exactly such training sessions that you will like. Then it will not turn into a routine and obyazalovku, but in another good way to relax after work (or wake up in the morning before work).

Other tricks like everyone knows: first, you need to honestly choose the time in which you are comfortable to train. If you have to significantly rebuild your schedule for the sake of "new life" and get up at six in the morning, it is likely that in a month you will simply choose to sleep a bit longer (and this is ok). Secondly, you need to plan meals: if you come home very hungry, most likely, instead of a workout, you will go to prepare dinner - and you will do it right. Thirdly, if it seems that you are now very lazy to study, but you know that your conscience will torment you later, persuade yourself for a 5-10-minute lesson. There are a lot of videos with short workouts.

This is partly why I like Tara Stiles' yoga workouts terribly: even if I barely pulled myself off the bed in the morning, I can persuade myself for a short morning lesson, and then most often I want to do something else. Well, if you do not want, then this workout is enough to warm up and stretch the muscles in the morning and to cheer up before work. In addition, Tara has an incredibly pleasant voice, a super-delicate non-violent approach, no “come on, you can do more” - everything is designed to listen to your body and enjoy how it changes even in the process of one and only 15 -minute workout.

I have a great sports home career: I have been practicing since 2013 without significant interruptions. She started with Kira Lashe, an American singer, dancer and fitness instructor: she is an amazingly charismatic girl who combines dancing, kickboxing and interval loads in her programs. I was also captivated by the fact that she has a very human body - wide hips, large thighs, large breasts - in which she feels like a queen. At the same time it is hardy and fun. Thanks to Kira's programs, I lost weight — I described this in detail here.

Over time, I memorized all her workouts and my body adapted to them, and I also wanted to change the picture. So I googled Jessica Smith - she has a charming pug and a huge archive of free workouts for a wide variety of requests and levels; there are even videos in which she works with her mom. When Jessica got bored, I found my current trainers - Fitness Blender. This is a husband and wife who invent and record a wide variety of videos, and then make up of them Challenges - training plans, following which you can achieve the desired goals (Challenge to develop strength and endurance, for busy people, for those who want beautiful legs and hips or flat stomach).

Thanks to the Fitness Blender, a small gym gradually formed in my house: there is a punching bag, a bench and dumbbells of various shapes and sizes. They have various loads - cardio with HIIT, yoga with Pilates, and my favorite is strength exercises. Challenges are paid, but it is worth it: the authors explain in detail the technique of all the exercises and really help to become very enduring.

I like to play sports at home, because I control the process and know exactly how much strength I spend on training and what muscles work for me. At home, I do not need to be afraid that I will be late for class or that they will look askance at me. I can adjust the intensity of the load myself. Now I study five or six times a week for about 50 minutes. Over the years I have become hardy and strong. And when for some reason I can’t choose a workout, I take the dumbbells, turn on this Jessica Smith video and pash. After him, I always feel at least well done.

Six months ago, I gave birth to a son. At first, the doctor did not allow any loads at all and I was recovering at home and missed the sport. After exactly two months, I woke up, ran out to the stadium, and in the evening I could not turn my head - I had a cold neck. It became clear that after a one-year break, running in the winter is not the most feasible for me. When the neck was gone, I decided it was time to return to football training. It helped to cope with the love of our club "GirlPower" and support for coaches, but it was too heavy: there was not enough physics, there was more weight for pregnancy, and less speed and endurance. In general, everything coincided: winter, the desire to train, to become stronger, faster and easier again, a new rhythm of life - so I found myself in the wonderful world of training on YouTube.

I tried different things - from #sekta (it didn’t - for me, they are too dull, although they say they are effective) to an application with video tutorials on yoga by the manufacturer of mozzarella, the one who defeated everyone on Facebook by her fans club. I even read LJa Miro. I admit it only to warn. However, you can watch her YouTube channel - the exercises are given there clearly, with an emphasis on safe technology. From sports channels I like XHIT daily. It has not been updated for a long time, but there will be enough video lessons for a couple of years. They have a very energetic blonde Rebecca-Louise in the pool of trainers, she has good press systems and she is strongly encouraging. A lot of useful information about training and nutrition in Lana Shi's blog.

I also did stretching on YouTube. After giving birth, you understand the price of your own elasticity, and in general for some reason you want to become a flexible doe. I started with Donny, with simple understandable complexes for beginners, and at first I watched another tanned blonde - she had more advanced exercises based on yoga. From YouTube, the most pleasant thing is that there are a million good quality lessons here and coaches of the most diverse orientation, build and temperament record them. In my case, the video on YouTube became a bridge to getting in shape and gradually moving to a comfortable mode of doing sports. And stretching exercises got accustomed - now I stretch in the gym with a trainer a couple of times a week, and on other days I study at home.

Whatever I have been doing for the last few years, there is a YouTube channel for any sports destination. I used to do yoga video tutorials and exercises for runners, but now I don’t have to train at a computer. I go to the ballet four times a week, I run a couple more times a week and have a rest one day. At home I like to do stretching complexes and in general any lessons from the channel of Lisa Marie. Of course, training in video will never replace work with a coach, because no one will point out mistakes, will not tell you how best to learn how to do this or that exercise, and will not save you from injury. But such small workouts help to consistently work on their weak points. Most of all I love this workout for the back - it is very simple in appearance, but surprisingly effective. Helps straighten shoulders and straighten your back, while at the same time relaxing it after a hard day.

For many years I have developed a habit of sport - this is the need to keep myself in an acceptable physical form, fueled by the eternal desire to make your body more conventionally attractive, to lift and lose weight (although the latter in my case is only promoted by tight control of nutrition). Over the years, I came to two important conclusions. First, to practice only those types of workload that are interesting and pleasant for me, and also approved by the doctor, taking into account health restrictions. Secondly, to engage in short sessions, but regularly - 4-6 times a week.

To address specifically to training on YouTube I was motivated by the desire to progress in terms of stretching (I am engaged in pole fitness, and stretching is very necessary there). In addition, exercises to improve the flexibility and mobility of the joints are recommended for my 10-year-old daughter - this is how we got another useful joint exercise. For about four months now I have been doing various complexes, basically I like American coaches. YouTube-workouts are also very helpful on business trips: I added to my repertoire short but difficult complexes for leg muscles and Anna Tsukur’s press and a mixture of power yoga and stretching of Juliana Semyonova. Juliana, also known as Boho Beautiful, especially recommends my favorite 12-minute workout "Waist Line Crusher" - the minimum in time, but the most effective in terms of exercise.

My mother was engaged in professional sports, and from 3 to 13 years all my evenings were scheduled for the section. I was in incredible shape, I slept like a marmot and enjoyed the workouts. And when, at 27, the question arose of how to put myself in order once and for all, of no other honest answer than to really do exercises every day, I didn’t know. For a person with sports training, who knows what a knee is at an angle of 90 degrees and looks like a straight back in a mirror, there is nothing easier than doing at home. In my life there were ballet, skates, swimming, wrestling and dancing, so there are no secrets in video training for me.

The gym, several quickly abandoned sections and a very expensive subscription in my life were also there, but I realized that the most frustrating thing in these classes was giving money for something I could do myself, plus spending about an hour on the road. Pay, in my understanding, is for expensive equipment or special conditions (Bikram-yoga, antigravity, pole-dance), really sensible coach who will put you on your feet in case of health problems, or for the unique atmosphere in the classroom, for which you want return. I feel more comfortable with my mat, my shower and my coffee after a workout.

My home workouts have a few rules. First: they always pass at the beginning of the day and on an empty stomach. In the evening, it’s too interesting and there’s too much going on for sports to be a realistic plan. Secondly: I constantly alternate workouts: from crossfit for beginners to body ballet, tweaking, or hands-on training. This creates endless difficulties (the body does not get used to exercises on all muscle groups, and it is necessary to tighten everything in turn), but it surprises with a variety of sensations in the body.

My last strong emotion is that I feel every millimeter of my body after a boxing workout and my legs, without which I woke up after two hours of longboard. The third rule: training is my investment in health and longevity, and not what I do out of guilt and dissatisfaction with myself. My grandmother is 77, and she has been charging since she was 25 years old: she still walks with a straight back and is well oriented in space. Such examples before the eyes always inspire a healthy attitude to your body. Do not like the relief of the muscles? It can always be improved by exercises. But to suffer in training, to sweat and hate yourself, expecting that one day you will become what you need is against the rules.

My favorite trainer is Kira Lashe, an incredible African-American who puts Rihanna's components into “Work” dances, teaches how to fly like savanna birds, motivates 90s hip-hop dance and explains what the Brazilian dance tradition consists of. There is a misconception that dancing is not a practice. Tell it to my body, which gets wet and bends after each lesson with Kira. The most important thing is that it is impossible to get bored with her in the classroom: everything changes quickly, movements alternate, and the music shakes - and you really want to repeat after her. Kira's vaccination is a mandatory antidote to tightness, muscle stiffness and anger on your body. To have a big chest, ass, wide hips and at the same time be taut and cheerful - that is, emphasize your body, and not hide it - something that you can learn from Lasha, among other things.

My other favorite workouts, which I most often resort to, are super-intense exercises with Jillian Michaels, the murderous Pilates race with Jake Dupree, soothing yoga with Mandy Ingber and two dance killers, jumping in which is enough for even the most stupid day started with a powerful dopamine charge.

Homework for me is an extreme measure. I am engaged in those cases where it was not possible to go to the gym or the bad weather tore off my run. I used to train on a clear schedule. In the end, just coming to the gym is a big part of the matter, then all that remains is to do the exercises. At home, it is difficult for me to tune in to work, something is constantly distracting, it may take a whole day from taking a decision to work out before starting a workout. Then you stand in the plank and you think not about the muscles, but about how much dust under the bed, you mentally add another item to the list.

A few years ago I only practiced at home, I could sit down 300 times and do twisting 10 minutes without stopping, but there was little point in it. Then I met my coach. Under her leadership, I learned the technique of doing exercises. I learned that when it is hard for you (in a good way) it means that you are doing everything right, and burning in the muscles is a sign that you can do a couple more repetitions. Now this knowledge makes home workouts more meaningful (if not distracted by dust).

At home, I usually do something to press, as a rule, such training does not require a lot of space, or some kind of stretching to reduce the tension. A video with a workout is selected on the Fitness Blender channel. This is a project of a pair of fitness trainers. Pleasant girl Kelly, in her own words, will get sick of the sport not for the sake of priests-nut but in order not to get sick and live long. On the channel, the guys place a lot of workouts of different types and levels of complexity. For example, recently they have a series of training sessions for those who quickly get tired of monotonous repetitions of the same exercises.
