Pirosmani - Archaeopteryx

On November 21, the Pirosmani, one of the most prominent brands in St. Petersburg, was shown at the Mikhailovsky Castle. The collection is called Archaeopteryx.

The Pirosmani Archaeopteryx collection is reminiscent of an angel’s flight over night land.

Who are the winged people of the “Trinity” Rublev, spread out in the rocks of Vrubel, divided into thousands of fragments and collected into one point of attraction?

Archaeopteryx is a Jurassic bird, the name literally translates as "ancient wing."

Images of the collection, made as if with the help of a palette knife, are folded, like parts of a kaleidoscope, into knight armor or mysterious sculptures.

Integral volumes, sculptural modeling of forms or, on the contrary, the shredding of a web into fragments of cake make the viewer pay attention to one or the other component of the collection.
