Shia LaBeouf occupied the elevator in the name of art.
Shia LaBouf yesterday presented a documentary about his #TOUCHMYSOUL performance, and today, with fresh forces, he embarked on a new project #ELEVATE. At 9 am GMT, the actor, along with artists Luke Turner and Nastya Sade Ronkko, with whom he worked on performances, went to the elevator at the Oxford Union debate club in Oxford. He will spend the day in the elevator, until 9 am Saturday: at this time, everyone will have the opportunity to take a ride in the elevator and talk to the artists on any topic. On Friday, the artists will briefly leave the elevator to perform at Oxford Union, and then continue to work.
The performance is broadcast on the Oxford Union YouTube channel; the camera is installed outside the elevator, so most often you can see closed doors on the screen - but all the conversations that the artists and elevator visitors lead are well heard. At the time of this writing, the concepts of femininity and masculinity were discussed in the elevator, and then the previous works of LaBaf, Turner and Ronkko and curatorial work.
