Cycles & Seasons: Serguei Teplov Show

The second day of Cycles & Seasons ended with a show of Sergey Teplov's collection; Milk Club was chosen as a platform - not the most obvious place, but with a large screen. A video with exaggerated urban images was projected onto it - as Sergei Teplov himself explains, this was “a model of a unified city”.

The collection was the same - simplified, understandable, unburdened. The designer, in his own words, wanted to “develop the theme of unification - both clothing and image; I wanted to zero everything - the team and I left the hypertrophied image, which we sinned for the last 3-4 seasons, therefore in this collection the designs were basic - was absent, and the details were natural. "

If we talk about colors, the seemingly obvious choice of sandy-bodied shades for this season, Sergey Teplov explains, again, the desire for unification and the desire to start a new decade from scratch. This facelessness is the trump card of the collection; and then, in the early 90s, just a decade ago, in Max Mara and Calvin Klein also believed that fade colors are better suited to aseptic things.

During the final release, one of the guests of the show exclaimed: "Well, finally!" Thanks to such a good everyday things in America, Alexander Wong became known; in Russia, for some reason, it was considered shameful to do uncomplicated things in spite of the fact that every second complained about their lack.

Whatever may seem, to invent a simple - not short and simple, namely that simple is the most difficult thing; Teplov succeeded, and this simplicity is not at all worse than poverty.
