Photographer Julia Mayorova about favorite outfits
FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week our heroine is the photographer Julia Mayorova.
I am a photographer, so comfort in clothes for me is always a priority. Although comfort, of course, is a rather broad concept: sometimes in a jumpsuit with sequins is much more pleasant than in a tracksuit, if you feel right now that this is yours. I haven’t been buying heeled shoes, synthetics and too short skirts or shorts for a long time. All the things in my wardrobe, I can safely wear on the set, without worrying about what will need to sit down, lie down on the ground, run and so on. In addition, over the past year I have had two big moves, so after forced cleaning more than half of my wardrobe went to charity and to vacuum bags, which I can't imagine when I open the next time. Total: I am in Los Angeles, and in my hands I have a half a suitcase of things that can be successfully combined, easy to care for, pleasant to the touch and do not take up much space in the closet.

I fell in love with a shirt at first sight, but over time it turned out that with trousers it looks so-so - long. But with these shorts worn perfectly, she is comfortable and at the same time passes under any dress code. If I come to the shooting this way, I look like a very serious photographer, I like it. Teva - the most favorite and comfortable sandals. After I realized this, I really wanted to buy the same black ones, but, unfortunately, I cannot find them anywhere.

Vintage jacket dug in Los Angeles at the Sunday flea market of a Jet Rag store. Shorts look almost like a skirt, and people look at them strangely. NMD sneakers are my favorite pair of this year, very comfortable and almost always look cool, it's a pity that I had to leave two other pairs in Moscow.

Yes, I really love Monki. Every time I take a bunch of things in the fitting room, and everything fits me - this is a miracle. All girls of small stature note: Monki on us ideally sits. Ray Ban glasses are already super poppies, but I truly love them, and I already have a whole collection. These are blue in leather frame bought in Italy four years ago.

When I bought this jacket, a consultant at Tsvetnoy tried to dissuade me, citing the fact that all of Moscow would soon be in it, but nothing came of it. In Moscow, I saw her a couple of times on other girls, and now we have moved to Los Angeles - and here I have not met her even once. These jeans are my favorite: no narrow ones sit on me as well as Topshop skinny. I wear them on the Black Tie dress code, in the supermarket, and wherever. True, they begin to fade a little faster than we would like, but it even gives them charm.
ASOS Turtleneck, American Apparel Skirt, Dr. Boots Martens
I like to order black and white t-shirts, turtlenecks, all basic things on ASOS. The skirt of the American Apparel was presented by a friend, and this is my favorite skirt in the wardrobe: I wear it with a shirt or turtleneck, and to parties with a sweater and sneakers. The Doctor Martens boots are the only shoes with a small heel that I decided to leave after the moves.

She wore a dress twice, but I do not lose hope. Glitters are constantly pouring from him, but I like that he doesn’t have a neckline in front, but it coolly emphasizes the back and shoulders from behind.

Jeans are vintage, I can not imagine who wore them to me, but they sit as if they were sewn to order by my standards. When I put them on, the music from the series "Stranger Things" plays in my head. She never wore shawls before, but this year she visited Coldplay in Amsterdam. Warming up was Lianne La Havas in the same - it looked so cool that I decided to get my own out of the bins and now I put it on from time to time.

When I go somewhere in Hollywood like this, people are looking closely - suddenly celebrity is encrypted. But no, just a super-convenient set to hide from the bright sun. By the way, the homeless here look about the same, if not better. The IKEA backpack is big and super easy, I bought it last month and now I use it instead of a photo backpack on the set.

The dress was bought a year and a half ago - it is super-simple cut, it does not need to be ironed, it is very comfortable to wear, and with the right accessories you can easily be considered a cocktail one. I recently put it on the shooting of a serious award - and nothing, rolled.

Kimono is much warmer than it seems. In general, it looks more like a bathrobe, that's why I liked it.

Rains raincoat of an unrealistically beautiful mint color I saw in Amsterdam, but a couple of days before that I bought a raincoat there, so I passed by and tried to get it out of my head. In the end, after a rainy week in Moscow, I remembered him in a conversation with my husband, and the next day he brought me a beautiful box with this very cloak inside.

I don’t really wear a watch, but I really like this one. Dima's husband gave them to me six years ago: about three years ago, a battery sat in them, which I never changed. Anyway, sometimes I wear them as an accessory and I hope that no one will ask for time. I love rings, but at some point I realized that the larger the ring, the less likely I would put it on, so I only took these two with me to America. The pendant bought in some small shop with silver in Greece, earrings - at a flea market in Rome, and the choker was made by a friend. In general, I really like it when people know how to perfectly select accessories and wear them with taste, but this, unfortunately, is not about me.
