Consumption community: What and how to buy at Escentual
Masha Vorslav
WONDERZINE DEADS, how the famous online stores are arranged: what to buy in them, how to save money and what to look for when delivering. This time - another one - the British Escentual.com.
Most online cosmetics stores are similar, but Escentual.com is very different from a number of similar ones. In addition, it is also a very good blog about everything that might excite, interest or perplex a buyer and a lover of cosmetics (here, for example, the section on sunscreen). The range is not one-sided: marks - for one and a half hundred; Avene pharmacy is adjacent to Stella McCartney, while Jack Black men’s have Marc Jacobs fragrances (there is no makeup cosmetics in the store) and, sorry, Justin Bieber. Escentual has its own little Make Up Alley - you can leave feedback about each tool on the site.

The big plus of Escentual.com is that, in addition to plus or minus the range of skincare and perfumery products standard for cosmetic online stores, he sells decorative cosmetics Guerlain and Dior (and new collections appear in a timely manner), and even Michael Kors. The site has a wonderful Try Before You Buy section, where for a small amount of money you can purchase a set of probes or sometimes even miniatures: for example, 12 samples of aromas Serge Lutens, 20 sachets Nuxe or Caudalie. In addition, the store sends a voucher in the amount of the amount spent on probes, which can be used to purchase a full-size product of a specific brand for 60 days - this is a profitable thing for those who like to try a lot. True, I never took advantage of vouchers - often at competing online stores the same tool is cheaper, despite all Escentual discounts. It is a bit embarrassing that even standard delivery is paid (by the way, varnishes are sent only in Europe and only with express delivery). I had no problems getting unregistered (without tracking number) packages, but I always have to wait for a package to Riga for about two weeks. And, to me, Escentual is not the most convenient navigation, although the side sorting panel works well.
At the end of August, an accumulative bonus system appeared on Escentual: now for every pound spent, 2 "pennies" are charged - of course, you can only spend it in the store itself. Points will be credited and if you write a review on the purchased product, which is approved, and invite a friend (20 and 50 "pennies", respectively). To put it mildly, the “penny” accrual scheme is mobile: for example, not 4, but 6 points give for a purchase of 4 pounds, and if you buy three funds for 10 pounds, you will receive not 58, but 54 points; and any bonuses for the purchase of sets with probes (those Try Before You Buy Sets) are not provided at all.
International shipping and the truth is only paid; now it costs 5 pounds (without tracking numbers) and 8 pounds (with it). The approximate delivery times to Russia are from 10 to 20 days, and the express delivery option is not available.
What to order at Escentual right now
Paperself False Eyelashes price: £7
Paperself makes blown false eyelashes - these are, for example, in the form of our beloved ponies, and there are also silhouettes of peonies, scorpions and other outstanding figures. Eyelashes are made of paper and glue them no more difficult than regular overhead.
Aromas
What-what, and discounts on perfumes from Escentual year-round; now the price is noticeably reduced for several hundred items - half a liter of Guerlain Vol De Nuit, for example, is generally sold for two thirds of the cost.
Clarins Eye Shadow Price: £35
If you wait for Naked 3 there is no power, and you want to update the palette, then The Essentials is perhaps another perfect set of natural shades. Shadows in it 10, texture - matte and radiant, double-sided brush attached.
Crabtree & Evelyn Kits Price: up to £ 25
Crabtree & Evelyn makes pleasant body care products: oils and shower gels, creams, powders and other pleasant things. Escentual introduced the brand sets into the Christmas catalog, and these cute boxes are a truly unusual (relative to the brand) gift.
Dior's palette Price: £48.00
Five minutes of luxury: this Dior palette is perhaps the best interpretation of eternal Christmas red. There is nothing unusual in the set: lip balm, two types of gloss and nail polish - but it all looks so that you want to instantly put it in the wishlist.
