Things from colored fur in the autumn-winter collections

How it all began

The first to paint the fur in unusual colors decided Yves Saint Laurent. In the 1970s, actress Anita Pallenberg, Britt Ekland and Angela Bowie wore short voluminous coats of pink and blue fur. The real boom of multi-colored fur coats fell on the 80s: think of shooting Patrick Demarchelier with Christy Turlington in Escada, blue-orange or Richard Avedon with Cindy Crawford in New York designers' purple and blue lamas.

Now they are experimenting with colored fur like a mass market like Asos, River Island and Topshop, as well as serious fur houses: for example, Yves Salomon produces parks with hoods of yellow and turquoise fur along with Opening Ceremony. Both those and others almost do not use neon colors that cut eyes: from the 2010 D & G lilac yak fur coat, in which Anna Dello Russo strutted around, the brands switched to saturated colors like blue, emerald and burgundy.

How to wear colored fur now

Now on the catwalks you can see absolutely any fur. For example, Emilio Pucci, Loewe and Walk of Shame make llama coats in burgundy and purple. Miu Miu and Tom Ford paint a broadtail coat in lilac. Fendi shows blue fur tops, Marni and Topshop create multi-colored boas and boas. The colored fur will not leave us even next spring: in the new collection of Miuccia Prada there are fur coats to which the paintings of Jeanne Detallan and Gabriel Spectrum are transferred. The main thing here - do not overdo it: the fur of bright colors should be combined with simple monochrome outfits. For example, wear a pink or blue fur coat with a burgundy or blue dress and boats. Of course, putting on a colored fur top or a boa, you risk to look too elegant, so it’s better to match the basic things with them.

Watch out!

Beware of the fur of neon shades like pink or light green: one can look intelligent in this. Techniques like combining fur with fur or fur with a shiny one are best to think about as carefully as possible.
