Olesya Gerasimenko, special correspondent of "Kommersant"
IN RUBRIC "BUSINESS" We acquaint readers with women of different professions and hobbies that we like or are simply interested in. In this issue, Olesya Gerasimenko, author of the book “Non-United Russia”, just published, special correspondent of the publishing house Kommersant, and one of the best Russian journalists.
The book includes my reports from different regions of Russia for 2012, where they are most dissatisfied with Moscow and the federal government. The theme of the series was invented by the editor-in-chief of the magazine Vlast, the book was made by the guys from the shop Falanster, and now I am distributing an interview. This is a book, for example, about the discontent of a conditional citizen of Novosibirsk with the fact that oil is pumped from him in the region, and taxes from this oil are paid in Moscow.
Moscow has described itself to the last bone. It is impossible to read, but in the regions a lot of interesting things happen. For example, near Ufa there is the village of Shaymuratovo. She bought the former owner of nightclubs and shops. He became a peasant and invented his own money "shaimuratiki" for which you can buy products at a local store. The office of their collective farm looks like an IT company: white walls, marker boards, open space, while around the corner are barns and pastures. They introduce Western personnel assessment, and milkmaids evaluate tractor drivers. And for the first time to them from the city people go to live. Such stories instill optimism in me.
But in general I am a fan of Moscow. I arrive from San Francisco, from Vladivostok, from a village in the Voronezh region, and I like Moscow at this moment the most. I love Moscow as a city, but I understand the jokes of Siberians that at the Novosibirsk airport Muscovites should be given bells so that they do not shoot them all the time they are in Siberia. They are justified, because sometimes people come and think that if they have a job or an apartment in Moscow, then they are smarter than the whole region.
I'm interested in working. When I get tired of going on business trips, I lock myself in the apartment for a week and watch cartoons. I have such periods, the editors know them. And then I understand that we need to go somewhere again. A journalistic crust is a small guarantee that strangers will tell you about themselves. And I'm interested in listening to other people's stories. I am not good at writing about them. I do not understand what else I can do.
I'm a pretty depressed person. I'm always sad, whine, whine. To fall into melancholy, do not go far.
Four years ago, I worked in Gazeta.ru and dreamed of becoming a Kommersant special correspondent. After I interviewed Ostap Bender of the Russian opposition Konstantin Lebedev, which no one could take, and Channel One called the editorial office and began to find out whether Olesya Gerasimenko exists or is a fictional character, they gave me a special correspondent.
My favorite material from those that I did was an investigation about Scientologists in Russia and articles about nationalists. After the trial, I spoke with the parents of the children, who sat down for 25 years or for life for the killing of migrants. And so I met with one mother under the walls of the monastery, and she turns out to be the most brutal. A faithful Cossack woman who is ready to bless her son for murder. I thought that only in movies.
Probably, many have postponed that if a journalist comes on a business trip, she must have sex with someone
I am not on business trips, and sometimes men start a conversation with the question "How old are you?" I say: "This is me just not made up, I generally work not the first year, everything is in order." I was in the last business trip and often watched TV, a series about cops in prime time. There was a heroine journalist, and every time she needed to get some material for her newspaper, she went to the source and slept with him. Probably, many have postponed that if a journalist comes on a business trip, she will definitely have to sleep with someone. I don’t think that some journalists actually behave this way: there’s not enough health.
Regions are still quite sexist. For the girl you have to pay, be sure to make her compliments during the conversation. And do not care for the girl - it's just impolite. I, in Moscow, probably live in a very sterilized environment. We have not taken personal life to discuss or once again hold hands with her boyfriend.
In the regions still, if you are 25 years old and you are not yet married, it is considered that you are an old maid. Therefore, there are many children there. In general, the program to increase the birth rate and motherhood, despite all the machinations, is working. And even in all these credit settlements, where I traveled when I wrote about the over-credibility of the population, there are two or three children there — the norm. One is something wrong. All give birth very calmly, freely and early. My heroine in a note about loans was left alone, her husband committed suicide. She is sitting in a village without work. I come here - on the veranda I am met by such a thin, pretty girl with inflated press. I do not understand how to give birth to four, to be left without money and to look so good.
If in Moscow we have some designers and draftsmen here, then real men are in fashion in the regions. He has a pasture and three plants; he hunts some deer in his spare time. You come to the regions and remember that you are a girl. In Vladivostok, for example, very beautiful men. High. Polite
But it happens in a different way. In some Siberian town I went to the embankment for a walk. And there were a couple - amazingly beautiful women. And next to them - I do not even know what it is, it is not even sweatpants with blisters in my lap. And all the guys with these beer bottles. I wanted to come up and say: "Girl, well, why do you need this? You saw yourself in the mirror? You go somewhere else."
In Russia, really the most beautiful girls. This is obvious to me. And the deeper the better. I once went on a canoe trip and missed my mother very much, decided to go through the forest to the nearest village to call her. We leave the forest with a friend and find ourselves in a kingdom of princesses nesmeyan. In micro-sports, legs are three meters, slender, white hair to the bottom, huge blue eyes, perfect skin. And the men are in the ditches. And I'm out of the hike, in the mud, I tell a friend: "Let's go from here."
