The Kanel brand appeared in Copenhagen in 2001. Its founder, Pauline Skaarup, was engaged in sculpture for a long time, and then realized that from childhood she dreamed of fashion, and became a designer. Although at first Skaarup did formally "childish" things, now the creator is confident that Kanel's cheerful jewelry will appeal to absolutely everyone: "children, their mothers, grandmothers, members of the royal family, and style icons."

Each hairpin bears the name of any girl: "Anna", "Fifi", "Christina", "Daisy", "Margot" - on the site you can find colorful models in the form of flowers, leaves, spirals, as well as basic rectangular clips in the spirit 60s. Winden

Mark Winden was founded in 2013 by a graduate of the art institute Rebecca Mapes, who had previously been an intern at the Pamela Love and In God we Trust brands. Winden Maples named after the family farm, and all products of the brand are imbued with nostalgia for the nature surrounding it in childhood: plants, flowers, shells and animals. Other sources of inspiration she calls art and vintage art objects.

Winden positions itself as a "brand of thoughtful jewelry for thoughtful collectors": on the site you can find shell earrings, rings with pebbles instead of precious stones and other jewelry made from recycled metals, as well as oval hairpins in vintage aesthetics (from $ 25) and volume rubber bands from Silk (28 dollars). Brand production is based in New York and France.

Sylvain le hen

Protector of the famous hair stylist Odile Gilbert Sylvain Le Hen launched his name brand in 2003. Prior to that, Le Hen was working on the shows of John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld and Jean-Paul Gauthier, and now produces sculptural hairpins, which are chosen for the red carpet by Natalia Dyer, Emma Stone, Emily Blunt and Adel Exarkopoulos and other famous girls.

On the site Sylvain Le Hen you can find simple hairpins (55 euros), silver scallops (85 euros) and metal headbands (45 euros). Particularly noteworthy are metal metal hairpins (from 45 euros), which can be combined with each other, as the Stardale star of the series, Madeleine Patsch, or French actress Stefi Selma does.

Jennifer behr

The name Jennifer Ber has been on the ear for more than a year: the designer boasts famous fans like Oprah Winfrey, Krissy Teigen, Alicia Wikander and Hayley Baldwin. Jennifer released her first collection in 2005 from the filing of the famous Bergdorf Goodman department store buyer, who loved her collection for the French stylist Frederick Fekkei (Ber made jewelry for him for several years until he closed her accessories line).

Today, the designer produces touching hairpins in the form of flowers (from 98 dollars), satin bows (128 dollars), as well as luxurious tiaras strewn with Swarovski crystals (from 198 dollars). All products are created by hand in the New York atelier, and then sent for revision to the studio Ber. You can buy ready-made jewelry, for example, in the Moscow TSUM.

MC Davidian

Mark MC Davidian appeared in the 1980s. Marie-Christine Davidian, a native of Saint-Tropez, began her creative journey with knitted swimsuits, which she herself took to clients on a motorcycle. After some time Davidyan became interested in the production of hairpins. Today, she no longer has to deal with deliveries on her own, and her jewelery is popular far beyond Saint-Tropez: one of the main fans of the brand is model Caroline Brush Nielsen, who fell in love with MC Davidian for “crab” as if from childhood, decorated with Swarovski crystals (42, 6 euros).

On the MC Davidian website, you can find hairpins of all shapes and sizes - from delicate flowers (98 euros) to seashells (197 euros) and cats (32 euros), as well as pastel crabs with butterflies (130 euros). All products are created by hand in France, and you can buy them on the website of the brand or in the Paris pharmacy Pharmacie Anglaise on the Champs Elysees.

Leigh miller

Leigh Miller is a Los Angeles-based sculptural jewelery brand founded by OTIS College of Art and Design graduate Lee Miller Newman. Before opening her own brand in 2002, she worked as a clothing designer at J.Crew and Calvin Klein - and then became interested in jewelry. When creating jewelry, Miller uses an ancient casting technique based on wax models: first, the designer creates wax prototypes, and then makes molds for him into which he casts precious metals, giving the product the desired shape.

In the line of Leigh Miller there are many noticeable jewelry: laconic silver bracelets, sculpted algae earrings, as well as smooth hairpins resembling mother-of-pearl shells made of white bronze - large ($ 175) and a little smaller ($ 160).
