"Parents did not support my desire to work in the fashion industry and insisted that I study at the law school. I graduated from it and began working as an assistant stylist, Anna Osmekhina. I am very grateful for her experience. Later projects appeared in which I already worked as a stylist I saved up the necessary amount and ventured to open a design studio with my partner. After a few years, I realized that I was ready for independent work, "Kostya Omelya tells about the beginning of his career.

In 2011, the designer launched a personalized clothing brand and made a debut show at Kiev Fashion Days: his models were defiled in dresses made of transparent fabrics with collars and sleeves embroidered with sequins.

In the latest collections of Omelya Atelier there are transparent raincoats and light green boats. About what the clothes are inspired by, the designer says: "Inspiration is unpredictable, that's his beauty." And he adds that in each of his collections there is a part of Ukrainian culture, although he is not going to devote a collection to Ukrainian traditions.

On the wave of interest in Ukraine, the name of the designer flashes more often. "I am convinced that the growing interest in our fashion is primarily due to a change in the consciousness of the designers themselves in the country. Now many of my colleagues are trying to build a business, although for several years their business was rather a passion and a desire to express themselves. The result is the reaction of the foreign press, as well buyers from Asia and from the West ", - says Omelya. For three years of work, he began to produce not only clothes, but also accessories with shoes.

The designer's plans are to expand sales points, participate in exhibitions and Fashion weeks, and possibly collaborations with democratic brands, and he will show his next collection in March at Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Week.
