Like many girls, Lina Zhang went to models not so much because of career growth, but because of the opportunity to travel. The first trip was not long in coming: soon after the conclusion of a contract with Liquid, she was sent to Fusion's New York office. For the first time, a twenty-one Chinese native came out on the podium in the SS 2012 season. However, during her first season, Lina did not travel outside of New York, where she did several shows.
The start of the model at Fashion Week was not bad, but she was much more fortunate in working with magazines. After a debut at 10 Lina, returning home, in December and January, appeared in several editorials in Numero, Marie Claire and Harper's Bazaar. A month later, she appeared on one of the covers of the spring issue of i-D, and the FW 2012 season began shortly afterwards. This time, Zhang went to all the cities where the main shows were held, and she made 48 shows in total. Lina now lives in Shanghai, sometimes arrives to work in New York and pulls up her English.
