Don't be late, plan your day in advance, keep deadlines, respect someone else's time - these are all great tips that really make life easier. But, damn it, how sometimes (regularly!) I want to let everything go by itself and stop watching time. Japanese designer Norihiko Terayama obviously thought a lot about this topic and eventually came up with his own version of the hourglass, which does not measure out the minutes, but, on the contrary, helps to lose time.
Teriyama's invention was called Awaglass (in Japanese "awa" - bubbles), instead of sand, it flows from one part to another bubbling soap solution. It sounds trite, but it is simply impossible to look away from Terayama’s clock. Handmade glass awaglass is available in two sizes: mini - 9 cm and standard - 15 cm. They are relatively inexpensive, like any beautiful bauble for a home or office. In the end, wasting time is a luxury that anyone can afford.
