Link of the day: Monologues of Russian gynecologists-prolifera

Today we chose the material "Snob" - the publication spoke with Russian gynecologists-prolifera, advocating for childbirth at any price. Recently, reproductive rights have been actively discussed in Russia: although the government has recently refused to remove abortions from the CHI system, the ROC and the Ministry of Health are calling for a reduction in the number of abortions, while Prilifer campaigns are gaining momentum on the Internet. We have already talked about what constitutes the anti-abortion movement and what happened in countries where the prolife requirements were met.
Kirill Rukov, the author of the “Snob”, found out what the doctors who received awards for success in the prevention of abortion think about their work and reproductive policies in general. The material contains monologues of three laureates of the “Sanctity of Motherhood” contest: two obstetrician-gynecologists and a medical psychologist who advises women who have decided on an abortion.
All three laureates told that they are trying to convince their patients and discourage them from abortion: judging by the words of the interlocutor "Snob", the winners of "The Sanctity of Motherhood" are convinced prolifera who believe that if the pregnancy has already occurred, it should end in childbirth. All three heroines emphasize that the financial situation of the expectant mother is not so important, referring to social benefits, maternity capital and even free meals that young mothers can receive in church on weekends.
Statements by gynecologists and a psychologist fit into anti-abortion rhetoric, which in the last few years has been promoted by the Russian Orthodox Church and the Ministry of Health:
"I am for children. Fanatically I think that it is necessary to give birth. A woman is created to give birth. Sooner or later, all men will become fathers, all women will become mothers - this is God so ordained. This is our karma, we have to do it. Therefore, of course , it hurts me when abortions are done. I persuade someone, I entreat someone, I speak strictly to someone. A woman comes and says: I already have children, I don’t have money, a mortgage, a loan for a car, a lot of problems. : so we all have it, all of Russia now lives like this, we are all on the mortgage. "
