FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is the photographer Violet El. She spoke about how inspired by the evil 80s and the grunge of the 90s, the style of the heroes of the series "Beverly Hills, 90210" and witches, as well as what treasures can be found on vintage ruins in Europe.
My style was formed five years ago under the influence of America, namely, the time period from the end of the evil and gothic 80s to the early 90s with their grunge. I reviewed, it seems, all the films of that time with their gloomy aesthetics. You can list endlessly: "Addams Family", "Raven", "Beatlejus", "Sorcery", "Fatal Attraction", "Mysterious Train", "Twin Peaks", "200 cigarettes". I just watched how the heroes of these ribbons are dressed, what kind of interiors there are, what typography. I watched the old clips. A huge number of musicians also inspire me, from The Cure and Joy Division to Hole and Mötley Crüe. At any time of the day and year, I wear black, Dr. boots. Martens and dark glasses. Generally enough words. Any explanations kill perception.

I think that most people have failure with shoes. She can ruin everything. Therefore, from shoes, I, in principle, wear shoes or Dr. Martens, or creepers. The choice between them is my main dilemma. I have a collection of martins, but these are my favorites. The classic model from the early 90s, and you can only find it in second-hand. The shoes have completely different skin and shape. Now they do not. I traded them from my friend, who found this pair on the ruins in Athens.

Along with leather, hats, creepers and martins, in black, velvet clothes are the basis of my wardrobe. It is warm, pleasant to the touch and looks beautiful. Last time I went to Halloween parties. Only I did not dress up specifically. I have Halloween every day. "Oh, today is Halloween!" - this is what I usually hear after, leaving the doorway. And I answer: "Are you wearing a Gopnik costume?"

Here is a classic men's-style blazer, sunglasses and a hat. This image can be found in any film of the late 80's about youth. In this attire, I was the last time in the Louvre. This was my second trip to Paris, and it turned out to be much worse than the first. The image resembles the heroes of "Beverly Hills, 90210", but with a hypothetical gloomy scenario. Actually, I'm a vintage shopaholic. At the same time I buy the same things. My wardrobe does not change, but I continue to buy. I have twenty pieces of leather jackets, but they are all different, seven pieces of black jeans with high waists, several dozen similar blouses, identical skirts, a billion nuts jackets, a lot of leather and velvet and so on. All this clothing has long been placed in no closet. My wardrobe is an assortment of any classic vintage store in Europe, so I decided to arrange my vintage online store and sell some of the things on social networks. Last winter I went to all the parties in this dress. Clips bought at a flea market in Spain. I do not like Spain. Like Barcelona, where I bought a dress for 10 euros. It's hot there. A wide-brimmed hat is the only thing from a Swedish mass market.
I have three options for outerwear: a coat, leather jacket or jacket. The fourth is not given. This image lacks a classic coat, but it was hard for me to drag him to the shoot. The main thing is classic and grunge. Only not sport and sneakers! My lifestyle denies the existence of the sport. I do not believe in trends. Let the normcor die. The best vintage shops in Paris are Arab ones, where everything costs from 1 to 10 euros. There, of course, crowds of people and a mess, but you can find incredible things, like this Victorian dress. I do not know what century it is, but it is very old. Made from luxurious velvet on silk. Now so hard to find. This dress has never worn. It is grotesque and in a good sense theatrical. Most likely, I can wear it on a party or in a museum.

I never open my arms, and here I put on a shirt. I love her very much. It was Courtney Love. On the neck - a cross from the Barcelona flea market. Just hang it on the lace. I have a lot of Catholic crosses, but for me this is pure aesthetics. I am not religious. Once I wanted to buy a human skull, but it was sold very expensive. I still regret not having bought it. Still regret not having bought reindeer horns.

Bag presented girlfriend a couple of months ago. She brought and said that she had found a bag in the closet of her mother and she no longer needed her. Very cool bag and I really like it.

Yes, she looks like Birkin, but this is not her. This is another find from Barcelona. It cost a lot of crazy money - as much as 200 euros, but I was also given three Moschino belts as a gift.

This Chanel bag is also from Barcelona. It cost 350 euros, but this is not the price for this thing. I can’t even imagine what kind of years it is, but very old. All my bags are roomy, because I always carry a lot of junk with me. Hat for example.

The green belt is like a vintage Versace. I think to paint it black, because of the color I rarely wear it. The other two belts got me a set to the bag.

I love black glasses. With a cat-eye rim, a classic of the 50s. Round wanted after watching the movie "Cutie in Pink". I rarely wear them, but I love them very much.

I love gold sheep - a cheap find from Athens. I almost don’t wear rings, but this with a transparent stone is an exception. Although I dress dramatically and kitschy, but I love it when I have a minimum of accessories.

Hats love. I have a whole collection of them. At home, literally, the whole wardrobe is littered with them. This, of course, is only a small part. About two percent of what I have. It infuriates me that wide-brimmed hats began to wear literally everything, so now I can often be found in a beret. Especially since winter, the wind and the hat constantly blows away. You run after her like a fool through the puddles, and always takes with you. Red bought from moneylenders on the banks of the Seine. She is of noble velor and very old, but she is easy to give shape and she holds her. I know what a good hat is, not these clumsy and plastic ones with rough edges. This hat is just great.
