How not to get sick in the fall: Healthy life hacking

Summer is again in the past, and it's time to think about how to keep the energy boost.found during the warmer months. And while these tips may seem obvious to someone, we still rarely follow these simple and understandable rules. Maybe this season we will be able to convince you to be more prudent.

Go to the doctor

Scheduled medical examination - not necessarily the fate of hypochondriacs. If you have your nose stuffed for the fourth month and you write off everything as a "seasonal allergy," it's time to stop deceiving yourself and find out what's what. Vaccination will help to avoid the flu: we have already told you why vaccinations are needed and why you should not be afraid of them. The need for regular blood tests, too, has not been canceled. In addition, most of us have chronic diseases and personal weaknesses, which in the offseason would be good to keep under control. It is easier to prevent any disruptions in the body or identify them at an early stage than to deal with complications.

Spare the stomach

It is not easy to survive the offseason without loss of health and appearance. You can add strength to the body to combat weather changes and pathogenic microbes by easing its daily burden - at least in terms of nutrition. Limit the amount of sugar in the diet, preferring complex carbohydrates. Do not overeat and eat simple dishes (we will soon share recipes for delicious dinners from a small amount of budget products). Light austerity in food affects not only well-being: it is quite possible that everyday Zen will free up the brain for more important thoughts.

Eat local "superfoods"

Chia and spirulina seeds are good, but in the local seasonal fruits there is also a lot of good. Local fruits and vegetables will benefit not only health, but also the budget, so it's time to get the most out of the autumn harvest. Pumpkin and grapes, apples and pears, walnuts and beans - tasty, useful and quite affordable. On sale there are still zucchini and zucchini, Brussels sprouts, sweet and hot peppers. Fiber in vegetables will support digestion, while proteins and fats in legumes and nuts will provide energy. In addition, seasonal preparations are in trend: on this occasion, we recommend testing non-boring recipes of pickles and jams for every taste.

Drink more water and less alcohol.

As you know, the use of alcohol is strictly determined by moderation, and therefore it is very simply converted to harm. In the offseason, when the body is weak and asking for help, it is ruthless to finish it with six cocktails for an evening (think about completely useless calories in the form of sugars contained in alcohol). From time to time it is worth doing a boring, but a useful choice in favor of water, tea or freshly squeezed juice - there is a chance that the day regimen will improve, productivity will increase, and immunity will not weaken day by day. As for water, it is very simple to drink it in liters in the summer heat, but with the arrival of cold weather, everyone switches to coffee. Special applications with reminders or a “smart” bottle from our autumn wristwatch of gadgets that monitor the amount of water consumed will come to the rescue.

Do not stop moving

Not in the sense of "developing" (although this too), but literally - wiggling with your hands and feet more. Sport is still an important and useful thing, and training for wear can always be replaced by swimming, jogging or yoga. Last warm days it makes sense to spend in the fresh air. Sports games, wakeboarding or hiking in the mountains - no matter how large your undertaking is, the main thing is pleasure. When it gets cold, there is also no need to hide in the room. Go on long walks: this is the best thing you can do for blood circulation and mood.

Warm up

For many of us, it’s time to get clothes in the spirit of National Geographic, which was never reached before by hands or a budget. High-quality thermal underwear, waterproof parka, comfortable shoes that you are not ashamed to wear, but it’s not a pity to ditch in the mountains - a bit of expeditionary chic in the wardrobe will not hurt anyone. After all, then, gathering in the forest or bike tour in the vicinity, you will not have to scrape the bottom of the barrel and reluctantly put on an old down jacket and worn jeans. Those who used to prepare sleighs in the summer and already got hold of equipment for traveling at a fifty percent discount, did everything right.

Change face and hair care

In conditions of variable temperature and humidity, skin and hair require special treatment. On the important phases of autumn care and the necessary funds, we have detailed material. Three whales, which keeps the skin in the offseason: gentle peeling, moisturizing and protection from the environment. Hair after sun and sea tests need intensive recovery. The sun's rays are no longer as merciless as in summer, but this is no reason to refuse sunscreens for the face and body - just pick up the SPF lower.

Make life comfortable

No matter how active leisure is, the rains and the cold wind will sooner or later chase everyone into the house, and time to make sure that your stay in it remains comfortable. In addition to the intolerable plaid blankets and huge coffee mugs, there are other, more practical attributes. Household appliances with aiming effects will help to survive autumn - from a humidifier to an alarm clock with daylight function - and various pleasant things: scented candles, warming bath salts or herbal tea. A good reason to try an environmentally conscious approach to health and comfort - especially, in this case, we already have a great vislist.

Plan, follow

Compete with procrastination and blues will help competently built mode of the day. Someone likes to do things on a clear schedule, but for someone, diversity and flexibility are important, so to begin with, define a comfortable schedule format. In any case, it does not hurt to go to bed at the same time and eat more or less regularly. By understanding how much time is spent on different types of tasks — routine or irregular — you can avoid a number of reasons for alarm. But also to earn it fanatical planning - also spit once. When creating a schedule of tasks, allow for the possibility of inaccuracy and be ready to rebuild the mode.

Slow down

The days are shorter and things are getting bigger. Against the background of increased employment, professional enthusiasm often develops into a race, the goal of which is to overcome all assigned tasks as quickly as possible. To preserve (or return) a healthy psyche, all of us, sooner or later have to learn to relax. This is where the principles of the Slow Life movement come to the rescue. To gradually come to a more measured pace of life, you may need to spend more time alone with yourself and prefer personal goals to the needs of others. In the era of social networks and global trends, it is more than ever obvious that sound individualism is the key to stress tolerance.
