To subscribe to: New Yorkers and the books they read in the subway

CONTINUE TO TELL about decent accounts in social networks through which you can view the whole world.

Subway Book Review recalls another popular instagram account about New York - Humans of New York - with the only difference that here the heroes of the pictures tell about the books that they read. Its creator, Uli Butter Cohen, moved to New York in 2013. She drew attention to how many residents of the city read in the subway, and began to ask passengers about their books. "The more reviews I collected, the more I understood how events from the lives of readers and their own history influence the choice of a book," she says.

Butter Cohen talks to readers of different ages who choose a wide variety of books: the blog can see I Love Dick reviews by Chris Kraus, a new Harry Potter play, a collection of myths from ancient Greece, a book by Jojo Moyes, a children's story about dragons that eat tacos, and more. You can study your account as a portraits gallery, or you can choose new books with it - as your fantasy tells you.
