What will be fashionable in six months: 9 trends from London

We summarize the results, held as part of London Fashion Week. In this material - 9 trends from the show, which we will adapt to your wardrobe throughout this year. However, nothing prevents to start doing it right now.

There is no argument, chokers as a reminder of the 90s, which appeared in all brands at once, will not give up their positions for a long time. With a decor in the form of rhinestones, of velvet, with feathers - the choice is huge. However, shows at London Fashion Week remind that, in addition to chokers, there are, for example, also suspensions. They are returning: huge, like those of Mulberry, which combined them with pajamas, and low-key and minimalistic, like those of Christopher Kane. The latter advise to wear them both separately and together with numerous other decorations.

We already wrote that now all the elements of the eighties era are in fashion. Brilliant dresses inspired by the disco era, as well as wide belts, leather coats, voluminous pants from the world of power dressing can be found in any mass market. In half a year they will still be with us: broad shoulders were especially popular in London week. In the collection of Simone Rocha, these were both dresses, and sly buttoned coats. Marques'Almeida, on the other hand, showed a new “basic white shirt”, which will probably appear more than once in various lists of “the most desirable things of spring”. You can wear things with such shoulders with anything, but best of all with mini-skirts (they also flashed more than once in New York and London weeks) or shorts.

Unusual cuts in unexpected places - the lot not only brands like Balmain, advocating for ultrahazard. At the London Week shows, they were repeatedly seen by the quite progressive Christopher Kane, Simone Rocha and Marques'Almeida. Almost all of them look deliberately casually, like scissors-cut in a punk and completely boring way. So the tendency traditional for spring-summer shows looks in a new way.

Creating things of silk and tulle, designers are trying in every way to get rid of associations with the holiday. Now that layering has become a common place for all fashion brands, translucent fabrics are mixed with denim, wool, vinyl and other textured materials. The largest amount of all transparent - in Simone Rocha. It is understandable: weightless materials - this is almost brand brand handwriting. Other designers supporting transparency are Ashish, J.JS Lee, Christopher Kane and Emilio de la Morena.

Inscriptions - a recurring story from season to season, which, however, is difficult to ignore. The slogans in Cyrillic or Gothic became so popular that now they can be easily found in the same Zara. But it seems that we cannot avoid their abundance next spring. Ashish has provocative inscriptions, designer Ashish Gupta himself is wearing a T-shirt, and Christopher Kane has a praise for the brand's creator. By the way, the New York Week also did not lag behind in this respect: the inscriptions "Merci Beaucoup" and "Love" were noticed by J. Crew.

We are well aware that the trend "striped clothes" can be easily found from season to season. This time, however, there were so many of them that it was impossible to ignore it. In the new spring-summer season, brands offer to wear things with stripes with other prints, such as a cage, flower, or monochrome things. The strip can be directed not only horizontally or vertically, but also at an angle - as in the Vivienne Westwood. They also had an abundance of classic costume stripes, but Marques'Almeida had a wide, as if from beach umbrellas or a circus dome. The collection, in which the main basis was the strip, was Mulberry: here and dresses, and costumes. The creative director of the brand himself, by the way, also thanked everyone in a striped suit.

A new romanticism is back: a print in a small flower is proof of that. Take a closer look at the most delicate dresses and skirts of Emilia Wickstead - in such a summer you want to walk through the pastoral landscape and lie in the hay. In Preen, in the dresses, the floral print is adjacent to the pentagram print. Together with a make-up with the use of fresh flowers, which is already called the most remarkable in the London week, it looks exciting. Erdem, on the other hand, had a full rant of prints: besides the classic, in a small flower, there was a striped pattern and a pattern resembling upholstery for furniture. Do I have to say that you can use this trend now? Dress in a small flower, rubber boots and a park - a classic combination for the beginning of autumn.

The tendency to catchy earrings that are worn one at a time will surely appeal to those who managed to lose one earring from a set inherited from their grandmother. If earlier huge earrings “chandeliers” were worn in pairs, now you can leave only one, but really noticeable. The most remarkable single earrings - in the form of laurel twigs, continuing the theme of ancient Greece, in the collection of Mary Katrantzou, and clusters - in J.W.Anderson. Simone Rocha produced different pairs consisting of two different earrings, united according to a certain principle: color or material (mostly transparent crystal).

As in the New York week, in London the trend for frills, ruffles and flounces continues to gain momentum. It is easier to say which brand did not show them. Designers in this case made a united front: from Peter Pilotto to Molly Goddard. In general, next season they will be on everything, even accessories - to add drama and sensuality to any image.
