Gender is one of the key categories that shape the course of a person’s life, regardless of how old he is or what family he was born. Rather, as: there are societies where, for example, transgender people live very badly, and there are those where it is easier. There are countries in which women's rights are recognized and respected almost to the same extent as men's rights — and there are patriarchal to the bone.
It is necessary to fight with illiteracy in questions of gender, as well as with any other, education. Social networks can work quite successfully on it: in VKontakte and Facebook now there are a lot of public messages exposing everyday sexism and, in general, helping people to understand each other. One of these - "Not Mars and not Venus," which is led by journalist Anastasia Karimova. This fb page, in fact, is an aggregator of all relevant subject materials with their brief critical assessment. Recently, the public became part of The Question, the Russian equivalent of Quora, and now in the corresponding section "Gender" there are sensible answers to questions of varying degrees of seriousness.
