In the United States have developed a companion robot for children with autism
Resource Such Cases reports that at the end of May, at the UN International Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, American developers will introduce the Leka robot toy, which can serve as a companion for children with autism spectrum disorders and help them learn.
The robot is a ball with a small screen, which displays pictures and emoticons (very cute). He can make sounds, glow in different colors and can be tied to an application on an iOS or Android device. The toy has already been tested by several dozen children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, and the device has shown excellent results: parents say that Leka helps to cope with stress after a hard day at school and teaches concentrating on one task. The developers emphasize that the robot is easy to program for a large number of repeatable actions that create a sense of security in children with autism.
The robot will go on sale in 2017, now on the platform Indiegogo you can pre-order at a price of 290 dollars.
