Stylist Diary: Tess about old women, cupcake girl and drenched Georgia Mae Jagger

Tess Jopp is a London-based stylist with Russian roots who collaborates with such publications as I-D online, I Love Fake, Vogue Japan, Nylon US. In her diary at Look At Me, she talks about the strangest, most fun and drunk things that happen in London during Fashion Week. In the first issue, a paisley print in the Topshop x J.W collection. Anderson, old-fashioned models at the Fam Irvoll show, dancing shoes at the Eley Kishimoto presentation, and edible rings at the Mawi party.

Our first day starts at 5:40 AM. At Heathrow airport, we meet the editor at Look At Me Rita, who just flew in from New York. From here we go to our nice apartment in the Primrose Hill area - here, next to a large park and a million small shops and cafes, she will live for the next five days.

While Rita is telegraphing you about what is happening in her first minutes in London, I grab some coffee and run to Topshop, where they just brought the J.W. collection. Anderson. Since the malicious guard immediately interrupts my attempts to remove the collection in the store, I take the coolest things in the fitting room and photograph them on myself. What kind of Russian, if I surrender without a fight.

I liked absolutely all the quilted things with a print in a cucumber, they looked especially good with a long white shirt, which I found there. Now I think - how many people will wear it all on the streets of London? Only at yesterday's Felder Felder show did I notice three in the same things from the collection.

Young old women and shoes with dogs at the Fam Irvoll show

Leaving home for a minute to change, I fly to the show of the young British brand Fam Irvoll - lovers of plush dresses, collars and sweaters with children's prints. Before the start of the show, I see an ideal representative of their audience - a cupcake girl sitting in front. Well, as this does not take a picture!

On the podium there are models in colored wigs depicting old women. Immediately I recall the name of the collection No thank you, Mr Botox, and the painted granny on the invitation. The theme is continued by girls with hairstyles in the spirit of the fifties and prints with the same old women, poodles and bows. Apparently, the designer wants to say that age should not make you more serious, that such an amateur of pink, brilliant and colorful, like me, is more than understandable. I immediately fall in love with shoes with dogs. You know that I am not indifferent to animals!

Dancing shoes and socks in the pea at the presentation of Eley Kishimoto

In front of the entrance to the huge three-story building of a furniture concept store, there is a crowd of Japanese-dazzling prints. It becomes immediately clear that I am heading to the presentation of Eley Kishimoto - funny guys, with whom Look At Me had already met once. From the number of bright things around the eyes run. I want to photograph absolutely everything.

In the first hall, stylists dress up models in things from the new collection. The photographer on the spot shoots their bows.

Here you can find anything: from socks to plates, from VAZ to sofas - all with Eley Kishimoto signature prints. But to see the collection in full, I have to climb into a huge cube-hut and wander through the mazes inside it. Here I found, for example, these dancing shoes.

Felder felder dresses with ruffles and edible rings at the Mawi party

Fashion in London does not end at the walls of Somerset House (the place where most of London shows take place., Ed.). Around it you can see thousands of mods and even a car in a cucumber print, like what I saw on Topshop x J.W. Anderson.

The Felder Felder show begins with Kate Nash, and continues with a dozen girls in about the same clothes. The situation is saved by shoes with an architectural heel - I like them and Rita.

But the sweetest thing was waiting for us ahead - at the private party of the jewelry brand Mawi, which was held in the main place of the entire rock party of the sixties Scotch of St. James. There we were given champagne from porcelain cups and fed with chocolate cakes in the form of iconic rings of the brand. She met Tracy from Linda Farrow and Farris from The Horrors and accidentally doused Georgia May Jagger with champagne. Unfortunately, having seen our camera, a huge bald man hinted to us that we will fly out of the club if he sees at least one more flash from our corner. Risking, we took a couple of shots that you saw in the broadcast, and this one - with the remnants of luxury.
