New Faces: Kristina Drinke

Seven years ago, Kristina Drinke decided to enroll in a model school. A native of Latvia came to this decision because of her love not for fashion, but for traveling: her friend was sent to work in Greece, which inspired Christina. She came to the courses, but was disappointed: in the classes they studied acting, did gymnastics and listened to how to act for the directories. Therefore Drinko left school and traveled around Europe in search of work. Two years ago, when Christine was twenty, she attached herself to Elite in London. She soon found agencies in other European capitals and New York.
Joining Elite, Kristina debuted at the London show. Six months later, as part of the FW 2011 season, she walked down the runway in New York. During the break between the shows, the model managed to play for the Italian Marie Claire, the American Elle and many independent magazines. Once, when the girl was at home in Latvia, and celebrated Christmas with her family, they called her and offered to personally meet with representatives of Balenciaga. After the New Year, Christina went to Paris, where she met the creative director of the brand, Nicolas Gheskyer, and the casting director, Ashley Brokaw. After a quick conversation, they showed no particular interest and said they would contact her. Christina returned to Latvia, after which she was called again on behalf of Balenciaga and invited to the second casting, this time to New York. There she was again not given a definite answer. Only in Paris, the day before the show, Christine was offered to participate in a show on an exclusive contract. After the show, she traveled to Puerto Rico for a while and will soon return to work again.
