What to buy in the fall: Another 9 collections of leading Russian designers
Autumn is a great time to to revise the wardrobe and replenish it with things from new collections that have already entered stores. At the same time, a decent coat, fur coat, midi length skirts and well-cut trousers can be found in the collections of Russian brands. We tell how the new season is seen by domestic designers and what things to pay attention to.
Tigran Avetisyan
The young designer Tigran Avetisyan, about whom we have spoken more than once, is taking his spring collection next year to New York Fashion Week for the overall VFILES show. A graduate of Central Saint Martins shows a free-cut acid-treated denim: wide trousers, jackets and coats, long sleeves with the words “What will remain”, T-shirts and dresses with the words “Too much civilization”. The Tigran collection is obviously unisex and makes you want to buy everything at once.
Gosha rubchinskiy
Today Gosha Rubchinsky is one of the most promising and sought-after Russian designers in Europe. In addition, this year he successfully debuted at the Men's Fashion Week in Paris with the spring-summer collection of the next year called the "Arctic". The collection of the current season includes plush ugly-fur coats, colorblock sweat pants, overalls, sweatshirts, long sleeves with proscate symbolism, sheepskin coats and scarves of leopard color. Gosh sensitively understands that modern fashion does not have gender and is divided only by tastes and personal interests.
Asya malbershtein
Asya Malberstein began her career in St. Petersburg as an architect, today she is one of the most successful Russian accessory designers, from whom she gradually moves to creating clothes. So, in the autumn collection of Malberstein: leather jackets, laconic T-shirt dresses, coats, shorts, bombers, and also items made of metallic leather. In this case, the main focus of the collection, of course, on accessories: clutches, backpacks, as well as black, white and beige belt belts.
Vika Gazinskaya
The popularity of Vika Gazinskaya in Europe is growing rapidly. Gazinskaya became one of the first Russian designers to make a collection for a large European mass market: this year she worked with & Other Stories - the new H & M Group brand. In the autumn season, under its own brand, the designer shows sweatshirts and dresses with cutouts on shoulders, midi length skirts made from metallized fabric, vests and coats with a plush fur hood, sports baseball caps. Most of Vika’s things are decorated with stripes in the form of old school tattoos and combined with light scarves, thereby appealing to the Soviet art of the 20s and to the Soviet rock of the 80s. Hopefully, things will soon appear in the Colette windows.
Alexander Arutyunov
A designer with Armenian-Georgian roots, Alexander Arutyunov began his career in Tbilisi and has already managed to form a well-recognized handwriting. He creates feminine collections, loves handicraft and always appeals to the traditions of his homeland. The autumn collection consists of multi-layered fringed skirts, leather goods, smart bombers, fluffy floor-length dresses, velvet coats with a round neckline, and strict basques jackets. However, the main star of the collection is a fluffy red fur coat. Alexander mixes differently textured fabrics: velvet, neoprene, transparent organza, leather, silk, marabou feathers and fur. The Alexander Arutyunov collection traditionally has a lot of hand-made embroidery and hand-painted. Not without accessories: leather bags and backpacks with applications in the form of deer and the inscriptions "Astra", crowns and ornaments on the neck in the form of feathers.
Ruban
Sisters Yulia and Alisa Ruban created their brand in 2010 and for some four years managed to fall in love with all of secular Moscow. Thanks to the main colors - beige, gray, pink, dairy and khaki - the new autumn-winter collection turned out to be very fresh. Designers create a three-dimensional structure of the fabric, mixing a large number of strips of drape and leather. As before, there are a lot of pencil skirts, voluminous coats, half-sports trousers, tops and bustier dresses in the collection. The main accessory sister Ruban made large pockets of beaver fur, which are designed to replace the usual bags and clutches.
Cyrille Gassiline
Kirill Gasilin creates simple, uncluttered clothes at affordable prices - it seems that this is the most difficult thing to find in Moscow stores. In the new season, the designer remains faithful to the pure color scheme that is familiar to the brand: black, beige, burgundy, and showed concise dresses, coats, raincoats, pencil skirts, jackets and items with an asymmetrical torn hem and perforation. There is a feeling that Cyril decided to enter the territory of the Gothic.
Serguei Teplov
Sergei Teplov has quite a lot of experience in the fashion industry: he created his brand back in 2003 and quickly became one of the most famous designers from Yekaterinburg. This season Teplov focuses on the connection between two eras: the 70s and 90s. Autumn collection about unisex: men's pantsuits, voluminous and loose woolen sweaters with long nap, reminiscent of malachite in color, long black coats, jackets with patch pockets, A-silhouette dresses, loose pants with a high waist and jacquard green dresses everything.
Luda nishishina
Luda Nikishina has long established her brand as the one that succeeds in a coat of a mixture of wool and cashmere. This season, the designer continues to work with fur, and with color. The first things from colored fur appeared in the spring of 2014. Luda uses kalgan, llama and sheep fur of two varieties (muton and tuscany), which is dyed. As the designer says, pastel blue and dusty pink curly fur coats and fur accessories are an ironic object rather than a “status” one. The collection also contains fur coats in black. The designer supported the global trend of advertising campaigns with the participation of ordinary people: Dasha Yastrubitskaya became the face of the new Luda Nikishina collection.
