Singer Sasha Fried about favorite outfits
FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week, our heroine is singer Sasha Fried.
I remember that in the eighth grade I came to school in my father's jeans, a velvet dress in the style of the 80s with a pink petticoats, open shoulders and a rose on the chest, a red adidas silk jacket with huge pink beads. I had a cap on my head, embroidered with different buttons (hand-made), and on my legs - high Converse sneakers with inscriptions. I looked original. The guys from the school asked me to decorate their backpacks with pins and badges. I felt great: they called me a freak and a clown, but I wasn’t like everyone else.
At seventeen, I discovered the world of my mother's things. She found hidden suitcases with velvet jackets, wide trousers on a high waist, boiled "Leivas" and her prom dress. It blew my head off, and in time — the fashion for the 90s and second-hand stuff just started. Since then, I have decided for myself: I will never throw anything out of clothes or give them away, especially jackets, which are my main passion. I collect them, and someday my matured daughter will find my bags and be ten times happier than me. I am very grateful to my mother. I still have a love of vintage for all my life.
In general, my family conducted a very correct policy - not to buy expensive things for a child who, firstly, clearly does not appreciate the quality, secondly, breaks in the yard, thirdly, simply cannot appreciate the expensive thing and, Fourth, quickly grow out of it. I remember my first trademark thing very well - these are yellow varnish Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes that I bought at the prom.
Now, when I am actively engaged in artistic and concert activities, such a thing as “concert costume” appeared in my wardrobe. I always choose clothes for the stage, starting from the institution, the nature of my musical program - I play and compose music of very different styles, the basis of which is jazz and rock. But in everyday life I dress calmly, I place accents on bags, shoes or outerwear. I spend a lot of time at rehearsals or traveling around the city behind the wheel - in both cases, comfort and freedom of movement are important to me.

Green jacket from some supernatural materials. H & M is sweet to my heart forever. I first acquired it in Frankfurt in 2012, and in a couple of months I lost it. It was a trauma, and I was very sad. But after a couple of years, I found exactly the same in another H & M, only a size larger - since then I have been happy with its bank. When the thing is yours, she will find you.
I just adore trousers - they can be worn with sneakers, with heels, and in the mud to lie down, and go out into the light. Looking closer, you can see that they were washed a million times, and the threads stick out at the seams.
The bag has gone through many fun European parties - a strap in general from a different model. It is unique and fits almost everything. Bright and, it seems to me, brings good luck.

What can I say - this white leather slipper should be a monument. I bought them in London four years ago. They were sparkingly and selflessly. But it is necessary to wipe them with a cloth - and they are as new.
I bought a bathrobe in a carpet store in Tbilisi. I often wear it in everyday life - it causes a special sensation at the entrance to the fitness center. It is of very nice quality and beautifully embroidered.
Jeans - the perfect and most loved ones. I wear rarely and blow off dust particles.
Vintage jeans and cap, mother's top
I love this topic terribly, although it, too, has already crumbled at the seams. Stole it from my mother - she is a fan of everything striped; suitable for both jeans and black pants. Together with earrings looks elegant. Caps / hats / hats I love very much, but they are often great for me - they fall down. This cap is the only one that keeps on my head. Sorry, not warm.

Jacket - this is my favorite find in my mother's chest. He is about 24 years old, but he is still relevant. He has a character and charm. When I put it on, I feel a certain confidence in myself. Cut, velvet, buttons - love. The most important thing in these sandals is that they are unrealistically comfortable. I can easily skip the entire concert on them.

I bought this jacket in Tsvetnoy - I saw it and fell in love, but there was no money. After a couple of months at the sale I was left alone, my size is three times cheaper - naturally, I took it. In June of that year, we went with a girlfriend to New York, and there in the streets people approached me and asked me in what shop I bought it. I associate it with that festival trip.

I bought this jacket in Paris - it is made of super-soft leather, and, despite the fact that it contains obvious references to country style with fringe and distinctive locks, it fits absolutely any clothing. Shoes from Tbilisi are like slippers, very soft and light. Cost a penny. Quality, of course, is sadness, and, I feel, they have little time left (I even kill high-quality shoes quickly), but for the time being I wear it.

I love massive earrings - it seems to me that they are very suitable for me. This Simone Rocha mesh is part of the dress. I like it because of its uncommonness - a sort of "elegant peasant woman" who turned out to be a witch. Before the Inquisition, she was prepared for the last party.
Accordingly, the best shoes for parties - this silver pair, which I wear already which year. They survived more than one wedding, a concert and a party, but not a single sparkle flew off the heel.

This is pure silk kimono - delight and shine. We found him with a friend in Berlin on my birthday, in honor of which we were charged 50 euros. A nice bonus, in it I celebrated my 25 years. In general, it is very inspiring to feats. Klatch bought on the same day in another shop - he is very suitable for kimono.

Favorite beaded jacket is the finest work. He is very heavy. Suitable for both evening dress and jeans. Absolutely self-sufficient thing. It was an impulsive purchase — bought in Tel Aviv on a friend's wedding day. I was going to wear a regular classic pantsuit, but my dad said I’d disgrace him. As a result, we rushed to the shops - on a holiday I was wearing a simple silk dress and this jacket. Dad was pleased.

For shoes, I chased for a while. I really wanted them completely in gold, but I did not find my size and bought pink ones - I don’t regret a single minute. They are super convenient for the scene. He looks very extravagant these days.

The gold suit of the Russian designer, whose name I forgot, had to be taken in. This is my first stage costume in the framework of the Sasha Fried project - I love him very much. He is terribly uncomfortable - it's hot in him. But emotions of the debutant are connected with it.

Stunning finds from the vintage shop in Berlin. This is my favorite image of a jazz diva - in it I feel myself desirable and irresistible. I like the cut, embroidered openwork inserts on the sleeves and the collar, romantic wrists tightened, a long narrow skirt with a slit and a gold dummy instead of a strap.

About Berlin vintage, you can talk for hours, and rummage in these shops - half a life. I guarantee, there you will always find what you are looking for. I've found this jacket of bright color in perfect condition of its 34th size (many girls of small stature will understand me - this is almost unreal, especially vintage).
Trousers no name - my mother's favorite and versatile. The only thing they have a strange material (something like wool), and in the summer in them frankly hot. Slippers are dirty, killed and chewed by my dear Zahar (my affenpinscher).
