What you need to know about natural cosmetics Aveda
WE HAVE LAUNCHED THE RUBRIC, in which we talk about interesting cosmetics - cheap, expensive, rare, beloved by makeup artists and bloggers, suitable for simple and complex makeup - and accessories for it. Today's issue is about professional cosmetics Aveda.
Hairdresser Horst Rehelbacher, whom The New York Times called the “father of safe cosmetics,” founded Aveda in 1978. However, the "company" is loudly said: Rehelbacher began with natural fragrances and hair care products, and he mixed his first clover shampoo in the sink of his own kitchen in Minneapolis. In 1997, the company was absorbed by Estée Lauder, Horst himself went to do the brand Intelligent Nutrients, but the Aveda course remained the same: "Do not put what you would not eat on your skin." The brand still uses natural ingredients, pays great attention to aromatherapy and seeks to use natural resources as efficiently as possible. Despite the fact that Rehelbacher’s pioneer cannot be named, along with other players (for example, The Body Shop founder Anita Roddick), he undoubtedly influenced the perception of natural cosmetics and showed that it can be not only effective, but also interesting and modern.
Over the years, the Aveda lineup has expanded significantly and continues to be replenished regularly (the latest novelty is Aveda Shampure universal oil with aroma). Now the brand produces rulers for hair, face, body care, a separate series for men, decorative cosmetics and aromatic products. Aveda is not only concerned about the quality of fragrances with a serious attitude towards odors: essential oils are an important component of almost all brand products (the All-Sensitive line does not contain them, since it was created for sensitive skin).
Perhaps the most curious thing about the brand is the seven chakra aromas, which are based on ayurvedic compositions. You need to choose them with your eyes closed so as not to be distracted by the names (“Creativity,” “Wisdom,” “Harmony,” and so on) - a properly selected smell promises to restore balance to the soul. Another interesting option that Aveda offers is coloring. Avedovski hair dyes contain from 93% to 99% of natural ingredients, while using them only in beauty salons - this way the probability of incorrect use of the product diminishes, but you should not worry about the color and condition of the output hair. The third thing that we advise first of all to pay attention to is decorative cosmetics. Despite the fact that Aveda and some other brands of natural cosmetics are quite consistent with the spirit of the times, we did not expect much from their makeup line - and for good reason. Here you will not find blue lipstick and yellow blush, but there is everything you need for lovers of natural and beautifying makeup - and in a pleasant and familiar form.
The brand has long been sold in Russia, and there are Aveda stores not only in Moscow, but also in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Togliatti, Omsk, Chelyabinsk and Krasnodar. A complete list of addresses can be viewed on the official website.
