What will be fashionable in six months: 10 trends from New York

SUMMING UPheld in the framework of the Fashion Week in New York. In this material - ten trends from the show, which we will adapt to your wardrobe throughout this year. However, no one bothers to do it right now.

Little glasses were talked about last season as an attribute of the style of the 90s. Alexander Wang and Adam Selman decided to treat the reference in a straightforward way, showing combinations with leather suits, leggings and mesh things for the era. The rest went to experiments: Calvin Luo is an image of the 70s with flared trousers, a graphic jumper and a bandana around his neck; Coach 1941 boho style - sheepskin, colorful skirts and a lot of fringe; Self-Portrait combined small glasses with suits and a tartan down jacket.

Leggings unite as many as three epochs: the bright 80s, the sports 90s and the insane zero. So, according to Alexander Wang, they are irreplaceable in futuristic images, which he invented as if for a new "Matrix". Tom Ford showed the redundancy of those times in all its glory: feathers, mesh, sequins, huge costume jewelry, headbands - with these objects he suggests wearing shiny leggings with an animal print. Marc Jacobs turned to elegance: tight pants complement his blouses with voluminous sleeves and wide-brimmed hats.

Designers presented two options, what could be a V-shaped neckline. On the one hand, the classic one is monophonic or contrast stitching on a simple jumper or dress, like in Esteban Cortazar and Tibi. If you are not a fan of deep cuts, then under the thing you can wear a turtleneck or a body - in Marc Jacobs, he does complemented by a dark bandana. On the other hand, the neckline can be made of faux fur, complemented with a mesh or translucent fabric, like in Alexander Wang.

It would seem that there are so many huge things that everyone will soon get tired of them. However, the oversize extended to the next season - it seems that outerwear will only become more: for example, Marc Jacobs models are lost behind huge bright coats, Calvin Klein has heaviness of jackets underlined with light puffy skirts, and The Row models put on long jackets from someone else’s shoulder.

Red, apparently, was also so fond of the designers that they decided to give it a second life. True, she promises nothing new - the same monochrome, straight scarlet dresses and bright sweaters. Is that you can take a chance and try on the images of the 80s, proposed by Tom Ford: corduroy suits, short dresses, jackets and even tights - all red and with animal print. For less elaborate examples, contact Marc Jacobs, Calvin Luo, Prabal Gurung and Tibi.

Many metallized materials are associated with parties and holidays. Things from them look as if the New Year is just around the corner, even if it is an elegant Tom Ford costume, a Milly fluffy sweater, or a Sally LaPointe down jacket. But some designers beat the topic of protective clothing - Calvin Klein has massive silver gloves, large vests, hoods and voluminous sundresses made of thick silver material. Jeremy Scott's models seemed to have escaped from futuristic anime: they prefer to wear “foil” things with acid tights and shoes.

Things from thick wool, of course, not new in the autumn-winter collections, but definitely always relevant. If you are not satisfied with the offers of shops or designers (and this is a minimalist Esteban Cortazar dress, a costume with bright Boss lines, and a chic Marc Jacobs set), you can make an outfit yourself or in an atelier - for example, alter a tired coat, which is a shame to give.

Next winter there will be actual shoes made of rubber or patent leather - like closed croc or sabot. Of course, the weather conditions here play a significant role, but the variations of the designers look really beautiful and practical: for example, Esteban Cortazar and Maki Oh offered a pair of pearl color, and 3.1 Phillip Lim made a thick and wide sole. Interestingly, they all suggested wearing such models mainly for dresses.

Leather pants periodically return to the podiums, and most often in the form of tight-fitting leggings with an abundance of decor. The following winter promises more variety: culottes, like those of Marc Jacobs, half-pants with an elastic band, like those of Tibi, or straight with a high waist, like those of Alexander Wang. The combination rules are the same as for any simple trousers: we can assume that they will replace jeans.

Combining different colors and materials in one thing is a simple but effective technique: any cut becomes asymmetric. Needless to say, the outfit only benefits from this: during the day it has an interesting colorful thing combined with simple shoes, and in the evening with noticeable accessories and bright outerwear. You can be inspired by the Marc Jacobs show: complete with a two-tone dress, long gloves, a wide-brimmed hat and shiny shoes. Other examples are Maryam Nassir Zadeh and Esteban Cortazar.
