We run a rubric, in which we will talk about interesting cosmetics - cheap, expensive, rare, beloved by makeup artists and bloggers, suitable for simple and complex makeup - and accessories for it. In the first issue, they wrote about the Sigma brand, best known for its brushes.
Sigma was founded in 2009 by Simone and René Xavier, a veterinarian and a civil engineer respectively. It all started, as usual, with the fact that Simone could not find a normal brush, which could quickly apply foundation, and decided to do it herself. Gradually, the hobby (and Xavier treated the manufacture of brushes as a hobby) grew into a full-fledged brand, which four years after its creation began to be sold in online stores in 100 countries and brought the creators $ 25 million.
Although Sigma now does not only brush, love her first of all for them. This is not surprising: compared to brushes from other professional brands, they are inexpensive, high-quality, and many other manufacturers can envy the variety of shapes and sizes. Only one of the brushes for eyeliner in Sigma, for example, 28 (!). The brand often collects brushes in sets, both universal, with which you can do makeup entirely, and intended for a particular tool or part of the face. Despite the fact that the brand as a whole is democratic, it allows for elements of luxury: for example, there is a whole series of brushes with 18K gold plating. Naturally, Sigma produces and pieces that allow you to keep the brush in perfect order: tubes, rugs and gloves for their washing and cases.
The rest of the Sigma assortment is more modest than it can be assumed: although it has everything you need for a not very discreet make-up, the palette is not replete with all the colors of the rainbow. Most of all here are the shadows of warm, earthy hues, the natural color of blush, lipstick and gloss and only sometimes there are cosmic things like holographic lip gloss. We think that manufacturers hint that even with such a small and rarely updated ruler you can get the maximum out with the right brush.
In Russia, Sigma cosmetics and accessories can be obtained in two ways: order from the US site (honestly warned that the package will go here for a long time) or buy from official distributors. On the above site there is a list of the latter, however, two stores do not work, and in Brities the prices for brushes are almost two times higher than in Ekaterinburg MakeUpLuxe.
