Everybody Dance: Gucci Campaign, Inspired by the 60s
EVERY DAY IN THE WORLD APPEARS BEAUTIFUL OR IMPOSSIBLE BEAUTIFUL THINGSand some of them can be watched endlessly. Or at least a couple of minutes - to unload the brain, escape from the routine and let your eyes rest.
Since we are talking about the global movement from minimalism to luxury and redundancy, we suggest you to please your eyes with the new Gucci campaign before the autumn. The idea of filming was visited by Alessandro Michele after the exhibition "Made You Look", where among others were the works of Malian photographer Malik Sidibe - a chronicle of the youth culture of the 1960s in Mali. The second source for inspiration was the aesthetics of the Northern Soul underground dance movement, which appeared in London in the same era.
Only models of African descent took part in the shooting of Gucci: the pictures are as close as possible to the reportage from a fun party where many beautifully dressed people dance, have fun or brag about clothes. As usual with Gucci, the animals also took off in the campaign - this time not lions, but quite peaceful-looking iguanas and chameleons.
