CONTINUE TO TELL about decent accounts in social networks through which you can view the whole world.
Hans-Ulrich Obrist - art director of the Serpentine gallery in London, the author of the famous book "A Brief History of Curatoria", recently called the ArtReview edition the most influential person in art. He turned his instagram into an art project "The Art of Handwriting", dedicated to handwriting, which is becoming less and less popular in the digital age. In his account, he also acts as a curator. Obrist lays out photographs of notes on stickers, pieces of paper and even a banana peel made by famous artists, writers, architects. Among them, Ai Weiwei, Marina Abramovich, Zaha Hadid, Kanye West and others.
The project was launched by video artist Ryan Trekartin - he invited the curator to install the application. Obrist spent a long time looking for a way to use instagram so that from viewing the account there was the same impression as the exhibition. The idea came to him when he rested with the poetess Ethel Adnan in France: “There was a thunderstorm, and we were looking for a cafe or restaurant where we could hide. : her handwriting, the way she writes poetry. " Obrist was also inspired by Umberto Eco, who believed that we should resist the disappearance of the letter. For obvious reasons, the account is not updated very often - but later Obrist plans to publish his materials in the form of a book.
