California-born Athena Wilson came into serious modeling business this summer. First, the New York model agency Ford took the girl with androgynous appearance under her wing, and a little later the London branch of Premier began to work with her. In September, a short-haired brunette with a nose-potato first appeared on the catwalk - and away we went.
Fashion Week in New York, Athena began with the opening of the show Creatures Of The Wind and continued to attend Altuzarra, Edun, Lacoste, Marc Jacobs and Victoria by Victoria Beckham. The next city, London, was especially favorable to Wilson: there she opened Mary Katrantzou and closed Erdem, plus made Acne and Christopher Kane. In Milan, the beginner model was invited by Fendi, Marni and Versus to their fashion shows, and in Paris, her slightly demonic appearance was attracted to Rick Owens. Now it seems that Athena is primarily a catwalk model: she was only shooting for the online magazine TheOnes2Watch. However, we are sure that soon editors, stylists and photographers will be bored by the androgynes that have recently disappeared from the pages of magazines, and we will see more than one editorial with Wilson.
