Made in Russia: 60 worthy brands of clothing and accessories

BEGIN YOUR BUSINESS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF TODAY'S RUSSIAN REALITY - enterprise prelozhnoe, especially if it concerns the production of clothing or accessories. We are trying to support decent local designers and have released a series of materials on young and already established Russian brands, specializing in underwear, jewelry, outerwear, basic things and not only. Where to look for them and what to buy from them is in our material.

Basic clothing

Aster

The story of the creation of a small brand "Astra" - another example of the script "when you can not find the right clothes, just start making it yourself." Almost always, a very personal project arises from such ideas, aimed not just at making a profit. So, the founder of "Astra" Ira Parshin all her designer dresses, shirts and trousers are first tested on themselves - fit, comfort.

Base forms

This is the second brainchild of designer Daria Chernysheva, who, before Base Forms, has been developing her own brand for five years. Reaching a certain milestone, she decided to switch her attention to more universal, neutral clothes - this is how the idea was born to create a brand in which everyone would find the perfect white shirt or straight cut skirt. Chernysheva presents her belongings as a kind of uniform for every day - convenient and practical.

The other dress

“Today, following the advice of numerous stylists and image-makers, people are increasingly thinking about creating the perfect basic wardrobe, in fact, we started with this thought,” says one of the founders of the brand, Violetta Gorina. She knows about the production of clothing firsthand - Violetta herself was engaged in individual tailoring for some time, so there is no doubt about the fit of The Other Dress things. Aesthetically, the brand is similar to the consonant Swedish brand & Other Stories - here both feminine minimalism and light hints of androgynous style.

Underwear

LOVEgoods

LOVEgoods - a project from Omsk, which is gradually becoming known far beyond the city limits. In the form in which the brand exists now, LOVEgoods appeared in July 2015, founded by Olga Kolchenko. She was also the author of the first collections, but now the staff has a permanent designer, the main generator of all ideas, who are trying to make the brand code as recognizable as possible. In addition to the basic materials used in the underwear industry, such as silk, stretch satin, all kinds of mesh, lace, lace, knitwear and viscose, LOVEgoods often work with velvet and organza - in general, everything that is so nice to the body.

Corporelle

It was with Corporelle that the underwear brands boom began in Russia. A year has passed since we wrote about them in the "New Brand" section. Since then, the affairs of a daring young brand from St. Petersburg, founded by her daughter and mother, have taken up the challenge of not having sexy, but not vulgar lingerie, has gone uphill. It is still concise, while quite frank underwear without unnecessary details: no baroque lace and bones - everything is only for the benefit of comfort.

My illusion

Catherine Lyubanova, the creator of My Illusion underwear, remembers the brand’s exact birthday - February 13th. Last year, on this day, she gave her first order to a young man who, on the eve of Valentine's Day, decided to make a surprise for his girlfriend. The girl began to be engaged in laundry not accidentally - the experimental laboratory of the Wild Orchid company became her first workplace after the institute. "It was a valuable and capacious experience with the ability to monitor the large-scale production of linen in Russia. There is a very strict attitude to quality, which I now apply in my studio." The most difficult stage for the girl was the transition from hobby to business: “There are many nuances that have to be taken into account. It’s especially difficult to find good seamstresses, because not so much experience as accuracy and engineering thinking. It’s difficult to work with production, I’m very picky about and every stitch is important in underwear. "

Street clothes

Wolf

Created in 2014 by Vasily (the brand bears his real name), WOLF today is one of the most recognizable street brands. It all started with the desire "to contribute and their vision in the segment, to make high-quality and interesting content, to tell the story of" Russian Gothic "." Bright slogans "Faith", "Youth", "My Defense" instantly scattered across a motley audience - from young ravers to adult admirers of sarcasm and that same Gothic. Then, at the start, the main problem was the inability to make a competent technical task for production - sewing and printing. Now - to distribute the budget and "observe the seriousness." Volumes and forms increased, to create a collection and, of course, preparation, takes much longer. But, it is worth noting, the prices remained reasonable: T-shirts 1,200 rubles, sweatshirts 2800 rubles.

SATELLITE1985

Perhaps one of the most famous streetwear brands in Russia, despite the fact that it appeared not so long ago - in 2011. Things with the words "Vain youth", "Unclean youth" and "Worse you" are easy to see on the streets of the capital, and on raves in Sputnik things almost every second. It all started with a simple silk-screen printing on a small batch of T-shirts and a social network community. The creator of the brand Sergey for some time bought T-shirts in "Decathlon" and printed on them what he considered necessary. Now the brand line has expanded significantly, but there is no need for in-house production, as well as in other ready-made forms.

Circle of unity

"In 2010 there were only a few noticeable streetwear brands in Russia, so we, however banal it might sound, decided to do something in this direction," the creators of Circle of Unity, Mikhail Ryko and Olga Marchenko, admit. The problems at the beginning of the journey are the same - production, and in particular - the quality of the final product. Now the brand has an established base of factories with which it cooperates on an ongoing basis. As for the materials - mainly Turkey. Here both quality and reasonable price play a role. The second characteristic is important, because once it was possible to buy materials in Japan, now the price, as they say, bites.

Decorations

Anima

Stylist Mikhail Baryshnikov, whose jewelry brand was launched at the beginning of this year, admits that he always liked jewelry: “I have long wanted to do this and even studied small form design. I made my first products for my mother in elementary school with wire and stunningly beautiful transparent red capsules stolen from grandma. " One of those jewelry eventually became the prototype of the first Anima jewelry line. Brand production is based in a small workshop in Moscow. In terms of materials, the designer prefers gold, silver and natural stones - rare and atypical: "I choose natural raw materials and strictly select myself. Finding stones that have not been refined is a big and complex story, and finding them in the right quality, size and processing - in general the most important task, but so far it turns out.

anna.m.objects

Mark anna.m.objects launched restaurant critic Anna Maslovskaya two years ago. The impetus for her was a common problem - the girl could not find any jewelry she would like. “I am a designer-designer of clothes by training, since childhood I have been painting and sewing, and the idea of doing something with my hands was clear and natural to me,” says Anna. “The occupation quickly dragged on. It turned out that this was what I missed for the last five years diving into journalism - defacing manicure and burning fingers. "

Bluebox

Marka was founded by Galina Denisova, who has extensive experience in the fashion industry, but mainly in retail - in her track record and opening Gianfranco Ferré and Versace boutiques in the 90s, and developing the concept of the cult shoe store and accessories Birch. Why did Galina decide to retrain as a jewelry designer? "I always liked lace and subtlety, hence the craving for exquisite products. I travel around the world, I see a lot of interesting things in Asia, New York or Paris. And I wanted people in Moscow to have access to interesting and affordable too I pay attention to this - decoration. "

Accessories

Asya malbershtein

The brand, which was one of the first to successfully produce leather goods and accessories, is the St. Petersburg-based Asya Malbershtein. Now there is nothing in her assortment: well-tailored coats, and practical dress-shirts, and even bathrobes, which are a shame to wear only at home. Still, leather items, especially backpacks, are still the hallmark of Asya Malbershtein and the first thing that comes to mind when it is mentioned. In addition to bags and backpacks made of leather, which has become the brand's trademark material, you can buy aprons, bandages and skirts. Of the relative innovations, it is worth noting small bags with color applications that will suit everyone who loves bright accents.

Kokosina

Alexandra Kosova is the creator and designer of the brand with the charming name Kokosina, whose first test collection was sold in 2011 at the “Poster Picnic”. At the moment, under the brand Kokosina produced backpacks, bags, braided laces, bracelets, passport covers, pencil cases (which can be used as wallets) and tassels charms. Prices for small items start at 1000 rubles, and the most expensive backpack bag (which is also the cutest) with a modification will cost about 10 thousand rubles. The brand sews leather not only in black: backpacks of dusty, pastel colors are presented in its online store in abundance and in fact turn out to be cheaper than any mass-market. Now the brand is sold in Click-Boutique and Podium Market, and also things can be ordered in the online store of the same name.

imakebags

Designer Ksenia Lapshova released the first collection just a few years ago, inspired by vintage bags from European flea markets. In the brand's collection there are a variety of accessories made of genuine leather: small bags of rigid form (7,200 rubles), backpacks-bags (18,400 rubles), folders for a computer (5,000 rubles) and clutches of saturated colors (10,200 rubles). Imakebags also has a permanent collaboration lineup with another Russian brand - NNedre. Waist bag from it, for example, will cost about 3,500 rubles. The time cycle of the production of one thing can take from 12 hours, which perfectly demonstrates the painstaking approach. All things can be bought in the online store of the brand itself or in Click-Boutique.

Coat

| f o rma and |

| F o rma a |, created by Tatyana Sukhova and Elena Glukhova in 2013, is a worthy young brand of basic clothing. From the first collection, the girls focus on the coat and for almost three years of active work they have already filled their hands on this item of clothing. The models they get are very harmonious, relevant, and it is unlikely that someone will turn their tongues to say that the duet is after the simplicity of the designs - designers do not have an almost architectural sense of proportions. Tatiana and Elena are not afraid of bright colors and complex details, which, without due care, are easy to burn, and the result is really great. Their things cost from 18 to 36 thousand rubles - for a design coat made of wool, cashmere and alpaca are emphasized not so much.

Shlitza

"I remember exactly that at the age of five I already dreamed of becoming a designer - since childhood, when my mother, a journalist, took me to shows of collections of Russian designers. I was inspired and fascinated by this world. And the four years that I spent in Scandinavia influenced to my tastes and reflected on the chosen aesthetics in the future. In the fourth year, after numerous practices, participation in creative contests and the first experiments on showing models of clothes on the catwalk of the Textile Institute, the idea to create a brand appeared, "says designer and founder Elena Mozha Islands, which launched the brand Shlitza in 2010. A girl chooses high-quality and natural fabrics (in the case of a coat, this is most often wool), prices remain adequate: yes, sometimes there are items in the Shlitza range of 20 thousand rubles, but usually it is 10-15 thousand.

Luda nishishina

Luda Nikishina has been engaged in her brand since 2008 - the coat became the main element of the brand even then. However, everywhere they started talking about her as a young talented designer last winter. The fact is that Luda feels good not only in the coat segment, but also in the field of outerwear in general, and in 2015 her llama fur coats in shades of pastila flashed on the pages of all possible glossiness - from Grazia to Vogue. If fur coats and sheepskin coats made of natural fur are not ideologically suited to everyone (although they are certainly beautiful), then there are no questions to the coat of Luda Nikishina: they work out perfectly for the girl. The designer offers a fairly large variety of models, uses wool, cashmere, mohair and an angora for them and is not afraid to move away from ordinary coats.
