LFW Day 1
Today, September 18, the first day of London Fashion Week, which celebrates 25 years this year, started. Especially in honor of this date, a new platform was rented for the shows - Somerset House, which is a 10-minute walk from Trafalgar Square. In the past, it was one of the Royal Palaces, and today cultural events and exhibitions are held there. The countless corridors of Somerset House were given to designers' showrooms, a press center, a Canon photo studio, a Mac visage office and a Tony & Guy pop-up salon, and a huge BFC tent was built in the courtyard for the shows themselves.
Headonism Presentation
The first event of the season s / s 10 was the presentation of Headonism - supervised by Stephen Jones himself - the designer of women's hats haute couture, and all the scenery for the show, inspired by the architecture of Somerset House, were performed by Michael Howells, the designer responsible for Christian Dior and Christian Lacroix shows in the past .
But, unfortunately, all the enthusiasm for the first day of the Week vanished by noon. All subsequent shows, to put it mildly, became a fashionable misunderstanding, not distinguished by the quality and number of guests. By 12 o'clock the courtyard of Somerset House was empty, and it was possible to observe, perhaps, Susanne Madsen, fashion editor of Dansk magazine, leaving Eun Jeong and fashion editor of Showstudio, Alex Fury, who had passed through the press registration department. Hmm ... don't Nick Knight's subordinates deliver all the invitations in advance and first class Royal Mail? Straight Lux photographers also had nothing to profit. Bored Yvan Rodic wandered around the courtyard of Somerset House in search of fashion Victim, and a Japanese woman from Grazia photographed buyers from China, hung from head to toe with Vuitton, from hopelessness. | Susanne Madsen - fashion editor of Dansk Magazine:

Bora Aksu show
One of the culminating shows of the first day was the show Bora Aksu, which was brightly dazzled with guests from the native designer of Turkey. Inspired by Oscar Wilde's "Happy Prince", Bora brought models in ala dresses to the podium, "the school ball came to an end," diluting it all with Jimi Hendrix style jackets. Drapery, sparkles and pastel colors were the main motives of the collection, which was spoiled only by the embarrassing soundtrack of all the guests, the chorus of which consisted of a single phrase "my pussycat is a superstar".
Hopefully, the first day of the Week, which did not quite succeed, is only a sign that the second will become richer and more fashionable, and there is no doubt about it: some of the most anticipated shows of this season - Mark Fast and Mary Katrantzou - will take place early tomorrow morning.
