What to wear in summer: Styl advice
WE DISPERSED STYLISTS WHICH TRENDS WILL BE ACTUALLY in the next few months. We tell how to adapt them to the Russian realities, which items to pay attention to first and foremost and what to be guided by when choosing clothes for the summer.
I really like the trend for everything transparent. Shirts, dresses, pants - everything looks incredibly beautiful and easy. Good examples can be found at A.W.A.K.E., Paco Rabanne, Maison Margiela and Dries Van Noten. From the materials are very relevant satin and silk. Things from these fabrics were presented by many designers. Personally, I liked the most minimalist dresses like Sies Marjan.
I adore everything brilliant, and to my joy this summer the sequins returned to fashion. The easiest way to dress up in a mermaid costume is, of course, a party, and during the day, flashy things, in my opinion, can be combined with something more relaxed, for example, with a simple T-shirt, jacket or hoodie.
I am glad that this summer the trend for "male" silhouettes remains relevant. I think that there is nothing better than a pantsuit. Of course, the ideal options are, as always, with Céline and Jil Sander, but I also like models of the Georgian brand Situationist.
I consider the belt bag the main accessory of the summer-2018. You can wear with everything, the main thing is that it is very comfortable.
Simon Port Jacmusus set the trend for Mediterranean vibe and sexuality. I want everyone to look like his muses this summer: in microfabrics with antique draperies, bare shoulders and graceful sandals.
Look in the shops stands for dresses, shirts with a decorative tie-drape and knitted knitted dresses. For the most courageous designers have prepared clothes from absolutely transparent fabric and lace. I'm not sure that this trend will be picked up on our streets - too extreme - but you can always take the risk. More modest options - sundresses or combinations in the technique of patchwork, like stitched from napkins, lace and silk.
Those who comply with the office dress code will love the twos in pastel shades or their contrasting combinations. Examples to follow: Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II and retired Italian Signors. Instead of pants - wide shorts (COS, Off-White) and pleated skirt, like Céline and Versace. Plus, a lightweight trench coat or a jacket will certainly be several sizes larger, with square hangers. A vegetative print will also remain with us: huge buds, botanical illustrations, small wildflowers, applications and even a pattern like on my grandmother's wallpaper. Look for inspiration from Dries Van Noten, Simone Rocha, Balenciaga, Gucci.
I like the trend on my father's sandals with a lot of straps and buckles. These can be found at Miu Miu, Vagabond and the democratic brand Teva. Quite the opposite trend - thin weightless sandals with a square steady heel. There will also be relevant woven shoes complete with the same bag.
My main advice is to keep away narrow micro-glasses or give them to a younger sister. From the sun, they protect so-so, besides it is the most intrusive trend of the season. Taking this opportunity, I would like to urge everyone to abandon the purchase of clothes in the mass market in favor of multi-brands with local designers and vintage stores and markets.
Hybrid things - that's what I advise you to pay attention this summer. It could be anything: a dress or a skirt, hunt or a T-shirt, even a swimsuit. For example, a double swimsuit to look for from Vetements is literally a hybrid of two models. They also have a very cool dress-hoodie: this is a long silk dress with an Emoji print on the front that looks like an acid hoodie from behind. Y / Project sewn an extra pair of sleeves to T-shirts and shirts. And in the collection of Gosha Rubchinsky there is a cool jacket-hoodie: on the left is a simple gray sweatshirt with a hood, and on the right is a classic checked jacket. Here are more familiar things like hooded jeans or skirt shorts. All this is not only interesting, but also very convenient, plus such things are easy to combine with basic wardrobe items.
Sneakers-socks - again, hybrids - the best choice for the summer. They can now be found at every second brand. But hiker-socks - this is a rarity, "ugly" design at its best. The choice is small, but very decent shoes can be found now at the brand Alyx, which from season to season shows cool models in collaboration with the Italians Roa.
The most obvious accessory for the summer is sunglasses. The trend for narrow rims, which was set by the sisters Hadid last summer, remains in the top this season. In my opinion, the most interesting models should be sought from Gentle Monster, Andy Wolf and in the collaboration Mykita + Martine Rose. It is difficult to choose a single bag for the season, so I choose two. Maxi Shoper - for working days and active weekends. The ideal option in all respects is a bag-to-check bag from the Helmut Lang Re-Edition line. And for walks and parties - a mini-wallet, which can fit only the keys to the apartment and phone. And nothing more!
In the collections of the upcoming summer, I would note several trends. First of all - a variety of clothes from polymeric materials. It sounds scary, but does not get wet. This is in case the summer will be rainy. And here not only the usual raincoats and rubber boots, but, for example, a Balenciaga cellophane shirt, a rubber dress and Calvin Klein latex gloves, and in addition Céline galoshes instead of the usual boots. I consider them to be the winners in the race for the title of the "ugly" shoes of the season, against which even the three-storey Balenciaga croc's are fading. Well, in the sea of raincoats, I would single out the most beautiful collaboration between Marni and Stutterheim. Beautiful and cheap - at ASOS.
Perhaps the shorts are the uniform of summer, and it would be unfair not to remember them. I like the fact that boxers (like Louis Vuitton) and trouser shorts (Nina Ricci and Off-White), and also bicycles (like the same Nina Ricci, Off-White and Yeezy) have replaced the hateful jeans. In a pair of them fit the top corset, like Prada and Marques'Almeida or Maison Margiela.
