About mode

If you are preparing for competitions, then you must observe a strict regime, the absence of violations and monotony help the body to give all the resources to achieve a sports goal. Most of the year my routine looks like this: sleep - morning workout - sleep - evening workout - sleep. It is very important to sleep in the afternoon; if you do not sleep, then it will be hard to train in the evening.

I do not eat everything; my diet - no more than 2000 calories per day, consists of a huge amount of green vegetables, a large amount of protein (about 1.5 g per 1 kg of weight), which I try to take from fish and poultry, but a couple of times a week I eat a steak or burger. Slow carbohydrates - only in the morning. I try to consume a lot of oils and fats, it is important for the hormonal system, joints, metabolism. Every morning I start with coffee and a spoon of coconut oil. Sugar, salt, fruit (except for lemons - I did not see serious research, but I believe that they take out liquid), dairy products are what I avoid. I do not divide the food into “harmful” and “useful,” orthorexia and the quest for “enemies” and “poisons” hurt me. In the end, it's just food, and the more we demonize it, the more attractive it becomes for us.

Of course, I drink various supplements and use sports nutrition. But my subjective opinion: the lion's share of products is useless. For most dietary supplements and sportpit not worth any serious research. For people who do not play sports ten times a week, I can advise only Omega-3/6/9 from the whole range. So far, nothing is clear about vitamins, protein and creatine can be taken from food (if there is no goal to gain 20 kg of weight), and regular use of pre-training complexes is simply meaningless. Peptides are becoming popular now, but for now this is too new to be recommended. I drink a lot of water, about 3-4 liters on weekdays and about two liters on Sunday. But I never drink after eight or nine in the evening, this is unnecessary.

In women's boxing there are 10 weight categories (from "up to 48 kg" to "over 81 kg"), and it is in the interests of each athlete to "climb" into a category as small as possible, that is, to be larger than their rivals, managing to keep the maximum physical indicators. Therefore, many boxers are constantly preoccupied with their weight, weighed 3-4 times a day and, alas, they often drive up a few kilograms a couple of hours before weighing. Of course, we do not drown fat, but only achieve dehydration from the body due to sweating, restriction of fluid and reduction of carbohydrates (because they trap fluid). Once I drove 4 kilograms in a couple of hours, this is not the most pleasant part of boxing. Probably, from the outside it seems insane, but you should not forget that boxing is perhaps the only activity in which extra pounds can cost you a broken nose.

In addition to daily boxing training, three times a week, general physical training is usually cross-fit and swimming. Swimming provides excellent general physical training, and in the pool is difficult to injure. In addition, water perfectly relaxes the nervous system. I also need to run at least 15 kilometers a week, usually I'm lazy and running the whole distance at a time. In winter, I try to replace cross-country skiing, I hope that this year the snow will fall and you can start to wind circles in the forest.

About sport

Of course, to seriously go in for sports, to give him all the time, you need to be obsessed in some way. Now people are looking at athletes and are also trying to “give all the best”, “fight”, “not to give up”. It seems to me that sometimes media and sports giants make people feel guilty for not playing sports. I even notice how my friends, especially men, feel some embarrassment in front of me, thinking that I blame them for “unsportsmanship,” but not at all! I do not think that a person is obliged to play sports. Of course, you can watch Nike ads and be charged with mass obsession with exhausting loads, but if you study research or at least recall a course in biology, you can come to very different conclusions. Still, people are not predators, this cheetah explodes for a few seconds, then fall from exhaustion - our body is accustomed to constant activity, regular and even: not 90 hours on the bottom + 4 hours with a barbell of maximum weight, but constant movement. Of course, this option is much more complicated, but then, in this way, a person does not deplete his body, does not risk earning injuries. I am not trying to criticize fitons and strokes, rather, I try to shield those who do not think that “runner's euphoria” and muscle hypertrophy is a mandatory standard of beauty and health.

I am very surprised at the level of masochism that I see on social networks: marathons and ultra-marathons, extreme crossfit, "no pain - no result." It is sad to read girlfriends who punish themselves with diets and a hall after a “violation” of the diet or get hernias and ligament ruptures for another WOD training session. As if sport is such a way of self-blame. Of course, to each his own, but the approach to a non-professional sport is closer to me as a fascinating game, with passion, friendship, courage, and not as hard labor. I never advise anyone to practice boxing, because it is a very dangerous and painful sport. Of course, now you can go to a fitness club and just thresh a pear, but for example, I would be bored. I love sparring, a mind game and a heart test. Boxing is 90% mind and 10% physics. True, these 10% of physicists require 100% of your physical abilities from you.

About beauty

I try to be beautiful, but I still don’t put my whole life on the altar of beauty. I had short periods of obsession, when I spent all the money on improving myself, but, honestly, it seems to me that now I look much better. Although I do not consider myself to be particularly beautiful, I rather know what to do with my body and face. I think that the importance of beauty will grow more and more along with the development of social networks, and in particular, my favorite instagram, a platform for endless self-objectification.

Moreover, the gender difference is gradually erased: now everyone is charged with being beautiful - both men and women. True, while advertising puts pressure on women. By saying: buy this jar - you will become beautiful. Implying that beauty is such a resource, with the help of which you can force everyone to love and receive everything you need. This leads to sad consequences, especially overlapping with such a frequent problem of women as the inability to soberly evaluate and adequately compare themselves with other women (I recently read the version that this is due to the fact that girls, unlike boys, do not experiencing separation from the parent of their gender, and remain merged with the figure of the mother). Adequate self-esteem is a magic ward against pressure and manipulation from the outside. As soon as you stop rushing from "I am the most beautiful in the world" to "I am the most terrible" and you begin to evaluate yourself soberly, without overstating the bar to heaven, you become invulnerable.
