The 17-year-old native of New Zealand, Yasmin Bidois, was spotted by scouts three times: first at the mall, then at the cinema where she worked, and at the airport. At first, the girl refused all offers, but for the third time she gave up and at fourteen she attached herself to a local agency. For three years she worked in her native country until her photos were sent to New York. There, the girl became interested in Ford and invited her to meet, having signed a contract with her.
Yasmin arrived in America at the start of FW 2012 shows. At first she was confused, noticing the great difference between local and New Zealand girls, but soon got used to it. She was helped by experience on the podium in her native country, when she went to the castings for the autumn-winter shows. As a result, Yasmin went to eight shows and presentations and managed to get acquainted with Tommy Hilfiger.
"As a child, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. I love animals very much and I miss my dog. I wanted a puppy, but my mother was not going to pay for it. Then I sold my iPod and bought it," Yasmin tells WWD.
