I want / I can: Pros about the replacement of decorative means, discontinued

We already talked about skin care products, who are no longer with us. The fate of being discontinued is often compounded by makeup products, and sometimes the same bank is found in the category of seasonal limits - alas, the latter rarely enter the regular range, despite the fans' tears. We asked the beauty industry insiders to talk about sunk products for the lips, eyes and cheeks and offer them a decent alternative.

Out of production: Glitter for Eyes Bobbi Brown Follow the Sun Eye Gloss

instead of him: 3ina The Eye Gloss glitter, 850 rub.

Such an ambiguous product, as a luster, is not easy to find. Manufacturers are likely to be afraid of releasing a remedy that could easily get bad reviews due to rollability and stickiness. For a long time, the only brand available in Russia that allowed itself such a risk was MAC. Their Studio Eye Gloss came out in jars. As for me, it is inconvenient to use it if you are not a makeup artist: the bank is large, dirt is accumulating in it, and the brilliance still does not end. In the summer

2017 glitter in a sponge tube format released by Bobbi Brown. In the seasonal limited collection there were three shades: pale pink, beige and brown. The glitter merged with the skin tone, was quickly applied and bleached with a convenient applicator and just as quickly sold out in all stores.

The alternative found me by chance when I was once again pointlessly flipping through ASOS. The gloss of 3ina and the price are lower, and the shades are more interesting: there is, for example, burgundy. The only difference in favor of Bobbi Brown is the applicator. The "ball" at the end of 3ina absorbs more brilliance and gives a portion not always evenly. But I did not notice the difference in sensations when using: both are dense enough not to spread, and uncritically sticky. Hold on for centuries in its original form for about half an hour, and then beautifully numb into the folds, as do all the glitter for the eyelids.

Out of production: MAS Liquidlast Liner Liquid Liner in Aqualine Shade

instead of him: Dior Diorshow On Stage Liner eyeliner in shade 351 Pearly Turquoise, 2665 rub.

I had such a moment in my working life: to write a beauty report, I had to pretend to be the seller and consultant of the IAC and attend a five-day training. At one of the classes, the case was disassembled "what if a creative mother came to you who made the face-art child of the multicolored Liquidlast liners and the third day can't wash it all away." This liquid eyeliner is really not so easy to take and wipe from the face, her phenomenal resilience. Wow, I need this, I thought. Because

I love the arrows, but they do not exist: they are imprinted on the upper eyelid, which means that eyeliner is not killed. And the "liquidator" did not disappoint: I remember once on a business trip I literally scrubbed the liner from the skin of the eyelids with my nails, because I had forgotten the oil for make-up remover at home.

I make-up minimalist, and my nude makeup has not changed since school. Only the arrows often draw bright, I prefer the variations of blue-green. My gray eyes in such an environment get the shade of a sea wave. Obed A suitable turquoise metallic Aqualine was found in the range of Liquidlast, and we lived happily ever after, until it was removed from production.

I didn’t notice the loss right away, I had a strategic supply of vials. But the replacement was looking for a long and tedious. I tried several alternatives, until I finally made contact with the Diorshow On Stage eyeliner: a sea shade of Pearly Turquoise, a metal finish without large glitter, resistance with the prefix "super." And a very convenient format of a felt-tip pen with a felt applicator, draws an even arrow of a perfectionist once or twice.

Out of production: Sculpting veil for eyes and cheeks of Chanel Notorious Ombre Contraste Sculpting Veil

instead of him: Maybelline Color Tattoo cream and gel shadows in Permanent Taupe shade, 254 rub.

At the end of 2012, I was chasing the whole sculpturing veil for the eyes and cheek of Chanel Notorious throughout Moscow. Contouring Kim Kardashian on Instagram hasn’t existed yet, Lena Krygina hasn’t started her blog yet, and cosmetic brands haven’t released anything for adequate sculpturing. Therefore, make-up artists practiced with strange blush and red bronzer, and every second lover of makeup went with brick cheeks. Notorious coming out dun with a purple subtone

just an incredible revelation and sparked a lot of discussion. For some, he became an ideal, someone seemed incredibly gray, someone decided to put it only on the eyes. After two or three years, the shops piled up with thematic products, but many people still love this limit to this day - no one has repeated its transparency and coldness. Buy it, unfortunately, it was impossible from the beginning of 2013.

Fortunately, Maybelline NY found a close analogue of Taup on a lilac base in the shade of Permanent Taupe (with the stupid Russian adaptation of the name “Long-lasting Brown”). But there are two significant differences: the opacity of the shade and the gel base of Permanent Taupe do not allow creating the same light haze and blending on the cheekbones, as could be done with Notorious. But if someone liked the latter as eye shadow, you can safely buy the analogue and apply it with your fingers in a thin layer.

Out of production: Lip Butter Givenchy Point D'Encrage Huile Irresistible Pour Les Lèvres

instead of him: Clarins Eclat Minute lip gloss oil in shade 04 Candy, 1950 rub.

I'm a fan of lip oils. Especially I like those that go dense, I would even say, a sticky layer. And if such products have a shade, they are ready to buy in bulk. The first oil love was the means Huile Irresistible from the 2017 spring collection Givenchy. Everything was fine in it: a dense texture, a glossy effect, a refreshing pink tone that remained on the skin even after the texture was eaten. There is only one problem - the remedy was

limited But I continue to hope and believe that the lip oil will be released again. And each time arriving at the presentation of the new Givenchy in Paris, I voice this wish to make-up director of the brand Nicolas Degenna.

In the meantime, waiting, continuously looking for a replacement for your favorite product. I think the closest hit is Clarins Eclat Minute Oil. It is also quite dense, besides, some shades react with the pH of the lips and leave a long-playing color on them. True, there is one thing. The texture of Clarins oils behaves unpredictably at low temperatures: it turns white in the cold. Therefore, I put off the bottles until spring.

Out of production: Becca Beach Tint Lip And Cheek Tint

instead of him: Liquid blush Glossier Cloud Paint, $ 18

In a commercial make-up, it is important to maintain the same temperature of the shades on the lips and cheeks. Therefore, makeup artists love versatile, multi-functional products. They can be applied immediately to several areas of the face, and even fingers: the process is fast - the result is natural. Becca's tints for lips and cheeks were just like that. They could easily be layered by adjusting the brightness, and the finish was translucent. They also had delicious aromas of raspberry, watermelon, guava and

grapefruit Tints have been removed from production (residues can still be found at Cult Beauty), but there is a very similar product, and even better.

The tubes of Glossier were presented to me by my advanced client, saying that for her this is the best blush in the world, she was captivated by the brand's philosophy, design and unusual texture. The advantages of both products are transparency and delicate shades that blend in with the skin and do not look like a separate spot (even an amateur will make it beautiful). Blush Glossier beat Becca due to the gel texture. She is better friends with tonal means, and Wess could sometimes “tear” the tone because of the inconsistency of the formulas. Another plus is that Glossier has a wet finish. A minus, perhaps, one: smells not so appetizing. And I like the pleasant scents, this is an additional therapy - to smell and dream while you do your makeup for yourself or for the client.
