The daughter of actors Maurice Dorleac and Rene Deneuve made his film debut in 1957, but becomes famous after the release of "Cherbourg Umbrellas" by Jacques Demi seven years later. In the 60s, Deneuve released two films that made her an object of fantasy for many generations of men: Roman Polanski's “Aversion” and Louis Bunuel's “Day Beauty”, where her cold beauty is set off by sexual perversity. After filming the advertisement for Chanel No. 5, there is no one left in the world who would not know her name. In the 80s, Tony Scott was the first to notice that Catherine Deneuve’s beauty is timeless, and takes it off in a vampire drama with David Bowie and Susan Sarandon, and in the 90s the actress gets her first Oscar for Indochina Regis Varnier. During his career, Deneuve became friends with designer Yves Saint Laurent, who was her main support in fashion. He helped Catherine to form a style, dressing her in the movies and in life (and often the same). Perhaps the duet of Deneuve and Saint-Laurent was as significant as the union of actress Audrey Hepburn and designer Hubert de Givenchy.
