Future models do not always see their potential themselves, and parents or friends persuade them to try to start a career. This happened three years ago with the nineteen-year-old Polish Martina Franks. One of her friends posted photos of the girl on the Max agency site popular in Poland, where not only models, but also photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and so on can declare themselves. Martyna signed a contract with the agency, but practically did not work until last summer: it was difficult to combine long departures from the country with schoolwork. Nevertheless, the Franks already had work experience in Spain and Tokyo.
Martyn really enjoyed living and working in Tokyo, so after school she went there. After spending two months in Japan, she shot for lookbooks and campaigns of several youth brands, and in October went to the casting show of the Fashion Week in Paris, where her interests were represented by IMG. Walking there on Kenzo and Thierry Colson, the model signed a contract with the New York office of the agency. At their request, Martyna broke up with her long hair, which she did not regret: she began to notice her more often and her career began to develop much faster. Now she is preparing for the shows of the autumn-winter collections of 2012, which will begin this month.
