On your head: How to repeat the salon styling

IN RUBRIC "EXPERIMENT" Wonderzine editors recreate the life situations that girls get into and test various cosmetics (and not only). This time we asked Ptichka hairdressers to do three simple and quick styling with a minimum of tools, and the girls tried to repeat them and told how difficult it was to do.

For thick and heavy

WHAT IT DID:1. Brashing Olivia Garden series Ceramic + Ion; 2. Davines Defining Volume Mousse Mousse; 3. Spray with Davines Sea Salt Primer sea salt; 4. Prive Finishing Texture Spray Texture Spray; 5. Massage brush Denman Paddle Hair Brush.

The root zone was dried against hair growth, having worked on brushing at the roots and at the ends. It turns out that the hair is wound on a brush and unwound from the face, so that the curls open the face: styling, when the hair is unwound, it turns out the most voluminous. On the already dry hair caused a little mousse, plaited several braids and additionally dried them with a hair dryer. Then his hair was disheveled, his head was thrown back and fixed with varnish. If you put it in such a way, it turns out to be such a beach setting, as if the hair didn’t do anything and they themselves formed beautiful curls.

The installation, it seems, is simple, but unfortunately it didn’t work out to achieve a result like a professional. Plus to me, as the owner of heavy hair, which does not hold any remedy, it is impossible to do anything without permanent watering yourself with a lacquer for fixing during the day.

For short and heavy

What they did: 1. Spray with Davines Sea Salt Primer sea salt; 2. Denman Paddle Hair Brush Massage Brush;3. Brashing Olivia Garden series Ceramic + Ion; 4. Nameless comb; 5. Davines Defining Volume Mousse Mousse; 6. Clips for hair YS Park Shark Clips.

Whiskey and the back of the head can be simply dried with a hairdryer, with your head tilted down for volume (in principle, I advise everyone to dry it because it is convenient and efficient). I dried the bangs against hair growth, then worked on brushing with a small curl. Already on dry hair they performed a small basal bouffant and fixed it all on the clip so that the hair took on the shape that we created for them. Then the hair just dissolved and finally fixed with varnish.

In principle, doing your own hair was easy, although, of course, I lacked the dexterity and accuracy with which the professional works. I seem to have done the same hair manipulations, but still it turned out differently.

For thin and wavy

WHAT IT DID: 1. Davines Defining Invisible Hair Spray; 2. Brashing Olivia Garden series Ceramic + Ion; 3. Spray with Davines Sea Salt Primer sea salt; 4. Denman Vent Hairbrush Rare Brush; 5. Davines Defining Volume Mousse Mousse

This styling is more suitable for moving, that is slightly curly hair. Polina applied a ball of mousse to wet hair, spreading it evenly through the hair from root to tip. Then they dried the hair on 70 percent upside down for additional volume. The upper part - mostly bangs - was laid using brashing. The rest of the hair was dried with large harnesses (a strand of hair twisted around a finger. -Note ed.) away from the face, fixing each flagellum with a small ball of mousse. When all the hair was dried in such a way, it was ruffled, head down, and sprayed with sea salt — it gives an additional texture. And lacquer still additionally fixed fringe.

I have thin wavy hair, at home I either spray it with sea salt or pull it with an iron. I did not use mousse or other styling products before - I thought they glued together too much strands and made heavier. In fact, the curls remained soft, but acquired a noticeable amount and texture, so I bought the Davines mousse in the salon immediately after the experiment. It turned out to be easy to repeat the installation, no special skills and, importantly, special combs, tongs and irons are needed. 20 minutes - and voila.
