Luke of the week: We analyze the images of our readers

Looks section with images Users occupies an important part on our website and exists since the founding of Look At Me. In addition, street-style today, being an integral part of the fashion industry, is returning to the roots - everyday street shots of people who can be a good example for combining things. In addition, we have always been attracted to real people with a cool personal style, their wardrobes and attitude to clothes. We write a lot about this as one of the ways of self-expression and decided to see how our readers adapt current trends in fashion.

Now, once a week, we will choose two images of female readers and, using their example, will tell us how best to wear certain things. We believe that behind each distinctive outfit is a person with his own tastes and interests - so that in no case do we invite you to judge by appearance. But our advice and comments, we hope, will be useful.

In the city, the combination of gray, beige and white always looks great with a bang: moderately neutral and neat, but not dim. A sweater with a throat and a coat is a win-win. An alternative to jeans could be just wide straight pants or flares that are gaining in popularity - just like Phoebe Faylo shows. In addition, this image is a rare case when the boats look appropriate during the day and the lipstick plays around them perfectly. I like that Nastya casually tucked her hair into a big sweater gate. This is a simple and cool reception, as if you were in a hurry, leaving the house, and you didn’t care about hair. The same combination of things could be more functional in a pair with men's shoes. I will mark it as a successful, ordinary, capacious city bag, which Nastya holds in her hand as a bag - and she is right.

In this image, it is clear that Christine likes retrostyle. In this case, his feminine variation of the 50s: a cocoon coat, a sun skirt of almost maxi length, a pigtail jersey and a romantic hairstyle. However, the 50s have now dropped out of trend reports and, unfortunately, look old-fashioned. If retrostyle is close to you, I would advise you to look at the style at the junction of the 60s and 70s, consisting of flared trousers, blouses with bows, trench coats, boots and mini-length things.

There are a few bugs in this image. The first one is overloading with details: a multi-colored collar, a belt, glasses, a watch in men's style, gloves, a clutch, and also bright ankle boots. These things are good separately, but together they do not look and make heavier image. As a good example, you can take the autumn collection of Marco Zanini, which is moderately retro and moderately feminine. There are gloves, glasses and a cocoon coat with a skirt. However, the images in the Rochas collection do not look overloaded, because they keep the color clean and accessories are moderately used.

The second mistake - the desire to combine things of different shades of tone to tone. This is rarely a good idea, and requires more skills than many people think. In addition, Christina chose dangerous colors that are poorly matched and look heavy: dark gray, turquoise and orange. These colors are saturated, therefore, self-sufficient. It is better to wear them separately or combine with something light and neutral: beige, white. Orange is another story altogether. If it is not an orange total bow, things of this color are combined only with dark blue, black and white. For example, and so. Here is a good example of how the image of Christina and color could be refined. Leave the orange as an accent in the form of gloves, combine it with a light blue rather than greenish turquoise, and add a neutral beige top, removing all unnecessary decorations.

The third mistake is a violation of proportions and style. The Maison Martin Margiela booties in their style of the 70s themselves are incredibly beautiful, but they completely fall out of the image because of the massive top consisting of a coat and a bulky 50s skirt. The shoes are elegant and thin, and you need to combine it with something lightweight. This may be a miniskirt or skinny pants, a light trench in the style of the 70s. A heavy skirt-sun to the middle of the calf just "eats" shoes. Also, this pair of shoes could perfectly fit to a monochromatic and concise dress or to an elongated jacket and skinny jeans.
