Bookmarks: Interviews with talented women in the G-IRL project
IN RUBRIC "IN BOOKMARKS" We talk about websites and online services - both useful and completely useless, but funny and amazing - which, in fact, should be added to favorites or added to the RSS-feed.
G-iRL
The G-IRL project - "Girls in Real Life" - was invented by the London-based journalist Kadish Morris, who regularly writes for Broadly and AnOther Magazine. For G-IRL, Morris interviews the most interesting heroines to her: the owner of a houseplant store, the artist, the editor-in-chief of the Dutch erotic publication Extra Extra, the organizer of an art festival for teenagers and other talented women.
Each interview is created and illustrated by the creator of the site with great care: they take pictures of the heroines in their usual interiors, show their jobs, studios and pets. The interlocutors discuss not only the career and turning points of the biography, but also various topics: for example, children's inclination to work, ways of self-motivation, the problems of modern school girls, success criteria or the best places for breakfast in New York. Conversations are very different, but they invariably remind that a person is not an enemy to a person, but a source of inspiration and support.
