Cycles & Seasons by MasterCard: Day Three
The third day of Cycles & Seasons by MasterCard was devoted to only one show - the debut collection of Ruslan Bezus.
After the show, Look At Me editors talked with representatives of the fashion industry and learned that they were especially surprised, pleased and disappointed in this collection.
Savva, makeup artist:The overall impression is more than positive. It was a show in which attention was focused not on universal entertainment, as, unfortunately, often happens, but on the demonstration of clothes. I really liked the clothes from neoprene, most of all - a transparent jumpsuit. I was on the backstage, and I was able to consider it - impeccable quality and cut. In general, it seems to me that all clothes ideally emphasize what is needed and hides what is worth hiding. Also remember the luxurious white something - whether a coat, or a trench coat, really want to have one. I will wait for the second show to create the full impression of the designer. |
Natalia Alaverdyan, Harper's Bazaar fashion editor:I liked that the collection itself looked clean and neat, and that it turned out to be very solid. It can be seen that sewn well. A good choice of colors, but still clearly lacked neutral shades. The clothes made an impression of something cosmic and even, perhaps, slightly contrived. I did not like the abundance of accents and obvious references either to Vika Gazinskaya or to Lanvin. Personally, it seemed to me that the music was extremely hard, and this created a not very suitable atmosphere. |
Julia and Inga Vitryachenko, owners of Twins Shopp shop: I liked the show very much. And what is especially nice is the debut collection, the first show, and, as we believe, everything worked out. In our opinion, everything was combined: clothes, the image of models, staging, music. We really like simple seemingly shapes, but with details and complex geometry. Each item from the collection attracted attention, and we got a great pleasure from what we saw. The Bezous collection is the opening of Cycles & Seasons. |
Polina Sokhova, fashion editor Vogue: The debut collection of Ruslan Bezus is made in the style of futuristic minimalism. Most things are quite wearable, except, of course, transparent overalls - this thing is more likely for the show. The designer chose the non-standard length of the trousers - they were a little bit collected, and although this choice was deliberate for Ruslan, this length is not close to me. But straight black dresses with long sleeves looked very elegant. Pleased with a neoprene coat - not very practical fabric, but it keeps its shape perfectly. It is good that Ruslan is not afraid to experiment. In general, a lot of work was done, the show was carefully prepared. The only thing - for the debut of the guests too long kept waiting. |
