From ballet shoes to white cossacks: 24 pairs of shoes for spring
Text: Anya Krotikova
Spring in central Russia is that rare seasonwhen the weather allows you to wear very different shoes - from leather boots and trekking boots in early March to light sandals with socks in the midst of May. We understand what the designers have come up with for us this year and what can be added to this from the shopping list.
White Cossacks
About the Cossacks as an alternative to rough lace-up and trekking boots, the designers remembered a couple of years ago. During this time, a cowboy couple had time to change the shape of the heel (now sloped and wide in honor) and a dozen colors. The most popular version this spring is white. A risky at first glance idea to make friends the snow-white Cossacks with spring slush will save water-repellent spray for shoes and regular cleaning (the latter, however, will not interfere with boots of any other shade).
Couples on microbike
The course for comfort with us for a long time (which we are just happy about!) - even the shoes for the exit, like satin shoes and lacquer boats, the designers tried to seat on a comfortable heel of modest height. Mules and sandals are not the only options: this spring also takes a closer look at casual shoes - for example, ankle boots with a heel-glass and narrow-toed shoes. Combination options are abundant: from straightforwardly sporting ones like those of Undercover to luxurious retroallions in the spirit of Gucci.
Clear shoes
Following the transparent bags, the designers remembered about shoes with transparent elements. For those who are nostalgic for the early zero, there are full-fledged copies of the popular then transparent sandals with a massive heel. Classics like shoes with round toes refreshed with transparent inserts. We have already written about the plush of designers with a massive amount of plastic and its impact on the environment; therefore, it is better to look for similar models on vintage ruins or in second-hand.
Shoes with a round heel
In fact, another variation on the theme of shoes on a micro-heel, but so popular this spring that it deserves a separate mention. Contrary to expectations, shoes and ankle boots, put on the ball, are quite comfortable and comfortable to wear. As is the case with any perceptible accessories, such a pair looks good with a concise suit or casual uniforms like jeans and a white T-shirt.
Ballet flats
We managed to forget how popular the ballet flats were seven years ago, but the designers again play on our sense of nostalgia and by this spring they released a dozen variations in all price categories and shades. In 2018, in addition to traditional ballet flats with rounded noses, we have soft glove shoes — open shoes made of thin soft leather on a flat sole — and sharp-cut suede models, and at the same time ballet shoes without heels, with lacing and velcro.
It is not necessary to return to your 2010 and wear light shoes with narrow jeans and colored T-shirts. More non-trivial options can be seen, for example, in Vika Gazinskaya (long A-silhouette sundresses, trouser suits with bustier tops and midi skirts with huge sweaters) or in Céline (snow-white trench and extremely wide trousers).
