Sneakers Hoka One One came up with French skiers from Chamonix - a place where freeride is developed, that is, riding on unprepared slopes in deep snow. For such snow, special skis are needed, wide and with a "rocker" - a pronounced bend on the noses and tail, which allows the skis to "float" on the snow.
And the creators of Hoka One One decided to use the "rocker" technology in the sole of sneakers for cross-country running. Therefore, the sole looks so massive - this is not some kind of marketing joke. Since I am skiing myself, this engineering solution is close to me, and in general, I want to support the guys. In a global sense, this is a small, niche brand for its own, and this additionally captivates me.
Due to the all-terrain massive sole Bondi 6 is well suited for spring weather, when there is mud and dirt around. And I also stupidly like the way they look.
