Healthy habits of top-manager of restaurants Evgenia Obrazoy
IN RUBRIC "LIFESTYLE" we ask different people about healthy lifestyles with a human face: we talk about the importance of taking care of yourself and pleasant ways to make life more comfortable. The heroine of the new release is the CEO of the Foodout.by project, Evgeny Obraz.
Feeling good for me - it is lightness inside and outside, when you happily wake up in the morning, live, relax and work.
An ordinary day begins. with a glass of hot water with lemon. In Minsk, I have a beautiful view from the balcony, and I try to meet the morning there.
The perfect morning is different from the usualthat does not ring the alarm clock. I am a real owl, and to sleep, I need to wake up myself. It has been like this since childhood that sleep is my friend, I’m treating my body during strenuous work or illness, it seems that I’m not only an owl, but also a little bear.
IF I DO NOT BREAK UP DUE TO WORK for several weeks, then I need to sleep for twenty hours in a row, and I can happily run on. Long business trips with many hours of flights and jet lag have taught me to fall asleep instantly, whenever possible, in any position.
I have been in the restaurant business for more than fifteen years. Many people use the word "restaurateur" to refer to my profession - but, in my opinion, a restaurateur is the creator and owner of a business, and I am a hired top manager.
I am currently working on launching a new project. - it will be a convenient, modern and absolutely necessary service for the inhabitants of the metropolis. Work in a restaurant is work without days off and around the clock. If at the office you can finish things on Friday and rest until Monday, then the restaurant spends a whole life over the weekend - if you get distracted for a minute, you can lose everything.
Of course, the return is amazing. To see happy faces, to hear kind words and to know that guests will definitely return to you, for the sake of that we do not sleep, we live at work and forget about ourselves. I remember how, returning home at four in the morning, I was stuck in front of the TV, aimlessly changing channels - just to slow down and turn off my head. It was a crazy and beautiful time, sometimes I miss it.
I WAS BORN IN MINSKBut for the last ten years she has lived and worked in Moscow - and now she has returned to her hometown, already with new knowledge, experience and the desire to be useful.
WHEN YOU ARE CONSTANTLY WORKING NEXT TO VERY TASTY FOOD, you need great willpower, but you don’t have to cook: you don’t have to go hungry in a restaurant.
NOW I DO NOT WORK IN THE RESTAURANT CONSTANTLY, therefore, on the contrary, I cook a lot. I practically do not eat meat, only chicken and fish, steamed or in the oven, I try to eat seasonal vegetables and fruits. I love hard cheese, cottage cheese - in Belarus there are absolutely wonderful dairy products. I do not drink coffee at all, but I like good tea, especially Pu-erh. I have not smoked for more than ten years now - and this is the best I've done for my health.
I am interested in trying the restrictions for a certain period, for example, a hundred days without meat, a month without sugar - but so far I can’t force myself, or maybe I just don’t want to.
ALCOHOL IN MY LIFE - social phenomenon. True, I do not drink wine at all, but I can sometimes afford a glass of good champagne or expensive whiskey.
I AM NOT A VERY DISCIPLINED SPORTSMANand a regular exercise routine is not mine. But I really like long walks: I wind up kilometers, exploring the city and new places. Both in Moscow and Minsk, I always live near parks and reservoirs, so walking twelve kilometers a day is my version of sport to maintain good shape.
I LOVE TRAINING IN A TRAINING HALL WITH A STRICT INSTRUCTOR. When you lead people for a long time, it is very useful to feel how it is, when they are leading you and you need to obey without question. It is great to put the brains in place and does not allow losing ground. Probably that’s why I don’t like group trainings - I want personal attention and tight control, and I’m not interested in worrying about the fact that someone beside me jumps better than a stepper
THE OLDER YOU BECOME, THE MORE LEARNING myself - you cease to live in constant conflict. Now I like my own attitude to the world, to myself and my desires. Yes, I scold myself when I want to see the new series of "Game of Thrones", instead of going to the pool - but if I scold myself endlessly, I will forget about the pool and wallow in guilt.
The most helpful health advice: relax and start living.
I love my age. I remember how difficult for me was the year when I had to turn thirty: I was experiencing each of 365 days and did not understand how I would live. And in the morning on my birthday I was let go - it became easy and understandable that everything will always be good. This feeling is still with me. Around me is a huge number of forty-year-old people - successful, happy, young, and just plain cool. We know who we are, what we want and how to achieve it.
I brought with me my favorite ritual from Moscow - Breakfast in a new place every weekend. In this regard, in Minsk there is where to turn, and my weekend is scheduled for many months ahead.
I'm an optimist, professional and responsible. I have long understood that the world around us is neutral and we ourselves see black or white.
